May be Amrita forgot that 60 % of Indians comprises of middle class and rest a below poverty line and very few millionaires. So I think MUL did the right thing to introduce the cheapest car ever with minimum comfort for a typical middle class family and to bring mobility among Indians. Everybody can’t afford luxuory cars. So this car is actually made keeping the middle class in mind. Moreover, the metros are so crowded that 60 KMPH will suffice. This car can even handle speeds upto 120 KMPH. I myself drive the car at such high speeds (highways only where it is somewhat necessary). People who say that it can’t accelerate more than 50 KMPH are absolutely foolish. They are the ones who jams roads and when luxory cars fall in their hands they drive like mads violating traffic speeds ans rules. There is always a minimum to anything. and Maruti 800 is one such serving the purpose of the Indians.
