There cannot be ever compiled a list of best love songs which is completely unbiased or free from any defects but I feel that the following are some of the best I have known and I recall while writing
this review:
IRIS by GOO GOO DOLLS - Genre - Alternative Rock. A very powerful song with amazing guitars. If you seen City of Angels and recall a very powerful song which may have given you goosebumps, this is the one.
WONDERWALL by OASIS - Genre - Alternative Rock. A very melodious song with nice lyrics. Good music, nice to just lay down and listen to or sing along aloud.
LIGHT YEARS by PEARL JAM - Genre - Grunge. This is one of the best love songs ever made without even the word ’love’ in it. Amazing lyrics, the lyrics are very powerful, if you understand them well. Music is awesome, the vocals are amazing, after all its Eddie Vedder.
HOW CAN I TELL YOU by CAT STEVENS - Genre - Folk Rock/Classic. A very old song by this ancient artist, a very relaxing track. One thing about Cat Stevens is that his vocals are very different, his vocals have that something in them.
BLACK by PEARL JAM - Genre - Grunge. This song from the album Ten is simply awesome. Amazing guitars and vocals. If you really like this song, try out the unplugged version.
EVERY ROSE by POISON - Genre - Alternative(i think so, not a Poison fan). A very relaxing love song, the words are simply great and the music is simple and would make you addicted to it.
20000 SECONDS by K’s CHOICE - Genre - Alternative. One of the most awesome bands with female vocals. This Belgian band is something I discovered around a year back because of a friend in France. ’’20000 seconds since you left and I am still counting...’’ a very melodious songs and Sara’s vocals add that special effect to every word.
STAY by LISA LOEB - Genre - Alternative. A very different song as compared to what normal people would call romantic. Great vocals.
ANNIE’S SONG by JOHN DENVER - Genre - Classic Blues. If you dont know John Denver, it would be a nice time to start.
ANOTHER PERFECT DAY by AMERICAN HI FI - Genre - Alternative. A recent band whose song ’’Flavour of the Weak’’ is quite famous by now but not many people know this one. Nice music.
ITS BEEN A WHILE by STAIND - Genre - Alternative. Supported by Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, Staind created a great impact on the minds of young rockers with this song. This was their debut song on V and MTV. Nice slow song to listen to and recall all the stuff that has made you feel absurd and weird all the time.
INTERSTATE LOVE SONG by STONE TEMPLE PILOTS - Genre - Alternative. If you need an introduction to STP, I think you should get a life. A powerful song with nice music. The typical STP attitude can be felt.
PLUSH by STONE TEMPLE PILOTS - Genre - ALternative. The best song by this extraordinary band. The music is very catchy and very influencing, it makes you sing with the song.
MAMA I’M COMING HOME by OZZY OSBOURNE - Genre - Hard Rock. A very different song when you compare it with other Ozzy stuff. This song is probably one of his best. Slow and melodious, Randy Rhoads with a 12 string guitar has done a fantastic job and the Ozzy vocals give the song a very different attitude.
APRIL SKIES by THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN - One of the bands that influenced NIRVANA. The song has a catchy rhythm and very good lyrics.
CRYIN by AEROSMITH - Do I need to tell you about Aerosmith? Probably one of their best songs.
LIGHT MY FIRE by THE DOORS (check out the Type O Negative cover of this song) - Genre - Acid Rock. Morrison was one of the greatest musician ever. Check out this track and if you can then get the version with the ’’Graveyard’’ poem in it.
LOVE ME TWO TIMES by THE DOORS - Genre - Acid Blues. The kinda song people would love to listen to. MORRISON IS THE KING.
SUSIE Q by CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL - One of the best songs by this legendary band.
well thats near about what I can think of right now. I am not the guy who listens to lotsa romantic stuff but I have come across a great number of amazing love songs but I dont remember them all
