Washington Mutual Bank is totally free of hassles and problems! It is fully insured by the FDIC, and it is the only bank you’ll ever need.

They offer so many choices of checking and savings accounts, as well as mutual funds, CD’s and all kinds of banking options.

Their basic checking account is absolutely free of any charges. You have to open the account with a minimum of (hahahaha) $1.00. There is no monthly fee, no minium balance at any time, free online banking (if you choose so), a free VISA debit card, no teller fees, no per check fee and direct deposit is not required. You also get your choice of discounted checks!

They also have an interest bearing checking account(I have this one) which is $12.00 per month, has a $1,500.00 dollar minimum balance, free online banking, VISA debit card,discounted checks, no teller fees or per check fees, and best of all, you collect interest on your balance.

Their savings account is very basic, as it is with all banks. Interest is quite low. (about 1%) So they also offer a great money market account (which I have). For a monthly fee of $15.00 your money collects interest (it changes daily to reflect mutual changes.) and keeps getting redeposited for you each time the interest goes up. You can draw on this money any time through the VISA debit card or through money market checks they give you at no charge.

They have so many branches across the U.S., you never have a problem accessing your money and the ATM machines are working 99.99% of the time. (I myself have never had a problem!)

The bank employees are all friendly and eager to help you at all times. And, you actually can get a live person on the phone to speak with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The branches are open from 7:30 AM till 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday and most branches are also open on Saturday until noon or 2:00 PM.
