I saw Sadma on Tuesday at 9.00 PM on Set Max movie. I became very emotional at the end of the movie. Tears were falling from my eyes, I was not able to control my emotions. Indeed, a great movie with top class performance and also some melodious music.

The story is about Sridevi who is the main lead, she loses memory in an accident. Somehow, she is not even able to recognize her parents and she rans from the hospital. Unfortunately, she is been bought into prostitution and because of the accident she also become mentally retreated.

Kamal Hassan wants to enjoy his life. One day his friend insists him to visit the prostitute area and there he meets Sridevi. He feels for her and finally decides to take her from that area to his house. He somehow manages to rescue her and takes to his place.

They both care for each other and happily live. Kamal treats her like her child........sometimes he also has to act as a child to her. One day Sridevi finds a puppy on her way and names him Hari Prasad. One of Kamal’s friend has bad intentions and decides to rape her. He somehow tells her that if her puppy does not have the belt , the police will kill the puppy. Sridevi listens to him and decides to go. He there tries to rape her but somehow Kamal saves her.

Then the real twist comes........... Kamal decides to take Sridevi to a Maha Rishi who has some powers and methods to cure the person who is mentally retreated. Here, Sridevi’s parents comes to know where her daughter is and finally sees her daughter. After some days, Maha Rishi cures Sridevi and she becomes very fine.

Her parents decides to take her home. Kamal meets Sridevi in the station but she does not recognize him. The last scene in the movie is very close to my heart. The way Kamal acts in the movie........... I literally cried during that scene......... A great ending to this Movie.


Direction by Balu Mahendru is top class. Performances by Sridevi and Kamal are mind blowing. They also won the National Awards for the same movie. Even the music of the film is very good. There are some songs which are indeed very nice...... ’’ A Zindagi Gale Laga Hai ’’....... and ’’ Suru my Akhiyon Main ’’ .

At the end, you can watch this movie end number of times.......... I’m sure u too will enjoy this movie.
