Higly impressive writing/directing debut by Farhan Akhtar about a trio friends, Akash (aamir khan), Sid (Akshaye Khanna) & Sameer (Saif Ali Khan) who have just finished their graduation and have entered the most important phase of their lives. the story is about events in their individual lives and how they never hide anything from each other. While Akash is shown to be highly optimistic and a go-getter. Sid is shown to be an introvert and slightly pessimistic. Sameer is shown to be an average guy. We also get to see their slightly complex love affairs. Akash is shown to have slowly fallen in love with Shalini (Priety Zinta). Sid is shown to slowly fall in love with a much older woman Tara (Dimple Kapadia). Sameer is shown having almost all his love affairs disasters till he meets Pooja (Sonali Kulkarni). Circumstances make all three apart for some time till they meet in the climax. Very Heart warming and the best feel good film since Sarfarosh. Outstanding acting by everyone and some really good one liners. Higly impressive cinematography (Ravi Chandran) and Music Score (Eshan, Loy and Shankar Mahadevan). Demands multiple viewing. Largely inspired from St. Elmo’s Fire.
