Sanjay Gandhi National Park was previously known as the Borivali National Park, and it houses a rich collection of both fauna as well as flora. It covers an area of 104 sq km. It has a vast number of animals like lions, tigers, bears, crocodiles, and monkeys that are in their natural habitat. It also has exotic plants like the karvi, which blooms only once in 12 years in absolute clean environments.
