Nice review. well-written. I am eager to know how do you operate the clutch? With heel planted on the floor or using the whole leg? Since the clutch pedal in my Ritz ZXI rests a bit high unlike other cars I am not able to put my heel on the floor and pivot. When I searched on the net I found most pe...ople use their whole leg (heel not touching the floor) to operate the clutch? How do you handle this? Please share your experience and suggestions..Thanks a lot in advance..Read More

hi Unniraj n Sukant, Maruti Suzuki does not have special side impact beams. Its integrated part of body shell as far as I know. If we check Suzuki UK website, you can see they have mentioned Splash (Ritz in India) has side impact beams....But in India Maruti Suzuki site for Ritz has not mention ...of Side impact beams. As Unniraj told, Wagon R and Swift website has stated both of them side impact beams...Also Hyundai i10 has side impact beams, but Hyundai i10 grand has no mention of the same...It seems Figo also does not have side impact beams...However Splash (Ritz) has got a good Euro NCAP Crash test rating (4 Star out of 5). And when i checked the weight of Splash/Ritz sold in UK and and India It had the same weight. That means there is some fortification of doors instead of beams....It may be noted that Alto K10 failed Latin NCAP crash test (no star at all!!!!)... Alto 800 has no NCAP Crash test result, and seems will not meet NCAP standards...Maruti A Star (global Alto) has got a 3 Star in Euro NCAP crash test....Read More

nice to hear Ritz makes you proud and happy.... Do you think Ritz's foot control placed a bit high?? It would have been more comfortable had they been placed bit lower than the current position... And the clutch, I felt, jumping a bit...may be the Car i tried was brand new and I am a new driver (ju...st learned it)...Is the height adjustment of driver seat work for you? i could not see any difference after trying much...Anyhow Ritz is definitely a great car, no doubt about it...Read More

Did you buy seat cover? If yes how much did you pay for it and how is its quality? After driving some 500 Km, i feel i should have brought Diesel version of Ritz...mileage currently is 12 km on average...

hi sukant, yea you are right..seat height adjustment seems not useful..i donno what they mean by height adjustable seat ,,,initially i had a feeling that the clutch pedal was jumping when you try to gradually remove foot after gear shifting....did you feel also? How about the rear view??? Did your t...est drive Figo? I think the dashboard of Figo is not so high and hence seems comfortable...but overall Ritz is a good family car....Read More
