Well, I am rolling with laughter reading your review of Thunderbird. Laughter....that is sarcastic, you see! I really suspect what you fed your bike with and how you handled the bull. I own a RE TB 350 TS, 2011 model, 2.5 years into running, +38,000kms clocked, consistent 42-45 kmpl economy on Mumba...i roads, no breakdowns, and fabulously Enfield - sturdy like new! I wonder why didn't you directly follow up with the company if the problems were of such exceptional nature. None of my friends who own a TB TS have ever reported such problems. And we all cruise at 90-100 kmph on highways.
I was reading a few posts on RE's acceleration, power output etc. What many fail to appreciate is RE is NOT a performance bike and RE owners don't buy RE to zoom past some plastic bike. The engine is simply not designed that way. But RE is an absolutely dependable bike for on road stability. I feel like I am going to fall off if on one of those 200cc odd bikes. Small gusts of wind make those bikes sway. RE doesn't sway, it holds its course. And for that stability and the thump that proclaims it, am okay compromising on acceleration. Speedsters need look elsewhere.
Cheers!

Back then, Saravana was a common name and many hotels and restaurants who bought Saravana grinders(which are unfortunate...Read more
