Does Zahir means Babel?
By: code11 | Nov 15, 2007 10:56 PM
I know Coelho will not write a book just to send a message but may be ,he will do the same to confuse the reader. So is seemed to be true in case of Zahir. It isnt expected from the writer of Alchemist....

By: chiclets1979 | Jun 22, 2007 02:05 AM
Like everyone else, I thought that write of The Alchemist would produce some quality writing. Its such a bogus plot. I felt as if it has been written by somone who was lost in his own mind and did not...

This is one of the my favourite books. It has been over a year since I read it but it still holds a place in my heart. There is only ever one story whether its a book film or poem, that story isa love...

The Zahir--a confused plot!!
By: mshilpam | Jan 02, 2007 02:49 PM
After reading Alchemist, I had lot of expectations from this book. But alas, it disappointed me ina big way. Not only was the writing weak, even the spiritual content that one expects to find in Coehlos...

By: Kevin22 | Jun 14, 2006 03:59 PM
This book is horrible. I could write an extremely long-winded review of this book, but it doesnt even deserve it.The author took his tried and tested formula for writing spirituality books and...

Not great
By: 4321234 | Jun 05, 2006 01:52 AM
The book is repetitive. The plot is really weak. Coelho has said this stuff in other books and he says it again, this time in a less elegant fashion. I also think that having the protagonist fall in...

Search that never ends
By: lokesh_sharmar | Jun 02, 2006 12:50 PM
Let me start off by saying one thing, if it would not have been for The Alchemist (by the same author), very few people would have picked up this book for reading. Although, it cannot be compared...

for one who dares to step out of the comfort zone
By: risa | Jan 26, 2006 02:32 AM
“THE ZAHIR”, is a first of its kind for the author. After writing some brilliant stuff, he aces it all in his own inimitable style. The backdrop for his previous works, Alchemist and The Fifth...

Could have been better. Really?
By: shreyas83_au | Jan 10, 2006 12:49 PM
The most interesting thing about The Zahir is the identity of the central character of the story who goes in search of his wife. The central character seems to be the reflection of Paulo Coelho himself....
