Quick Summary: Located 1300 meters above sea level, at Lakkidi on the mountains of Wayanad is Rain Country Resorts. It comprises eight cottages spread over 20 acres of land situated in a valley between three hills. The cottages are constructed in the traditional Kerala architecture. The resort also features a Kerala specialty restaurant. Rain Country has two naturally formed lakes and streams running through the resort. A 4-km trek from the resort takes you to Chembara peak at 2100 MSL, where over-night stay is possible at temporary camps.
Rooms & Amenities: Choices of cottages are single room, two rooms and three rooms. All cottages have verandahs and have attached baths with bath tubs & hot water facility. There are totally 12 non a/c rooms. Amenities include specialty restaurant, health club and spa, boating, at the lake, travel desk, laundry, doctor on call and room service.
