As the title suggests, the play is all about male aggression and female exploitation. In a remote village of Maharashtra, lives Ambika Shivram Apte, daughter of a retired schoolmaster who thinks that she can establish a classless, casteless just society through vociferous sloganeering, eloquent speeches, fiery pamphlets and protest marches. Purush is too real to entertain. It raises more questions than it answers. But if you are looking for serious, thought provoking theatre, then Purush is for you.
