For some strange reason my computer refused to post my rating of your review, whereas I had no such problem with the list of reviews which I rated along with yours. It was only in my third attempt, and after restarting the Internet that I succeeded. Possible reason: Your review is in parts, and when... made into a whole it should be much better!Read More

I am not sure if your optimism, that a highly irrespnsible firm will know about MS and if it does will read what you have written about it, is well founded. The best thing for you to do is to forward this to it by post and by email.

I enjoyed your review on Madurai. In fact, I had a long piece on Madurai Meenakshi temple a few years ago in the Sunday Magazine of The Indian Express. It was aptly titled 'Indulging a goddess', as I had a lot to say about the temple, the temple functionaries, leave alone Meenakshi and her lover fr...om Mount Kailasa. Unless I have some memory lapse, my understanding is that the Avinashilingam University you mentioned is in Coimbatore. I am also subject to correction, but since you posted the review, you may again check this information.Read More

That was a forthright review. I am glad that you pointed your finger right at the target. Probably you could have related hair loss to greying also; and for that matter to the quality of water. In cities like Chennai salinity causes a lot of harm to hair. If one could make a survey, it may ...be possible to establish a nexus between salinity and hair loss; and salinity and greying. Your assessment of Medimix and its history is right. It had its origin some three decades ago as a home made product, when its founder was an allopathy doctor. He was a close friend of my uncle, who died of cancer in the early 1970s. From its humble beginnings Medimix has made a mark in the ...market. Recently there was a write up on this Soap in Outlook or India Today. I have never tried Medimix as a family Soap; but in the light of the herbal details given by you I should try it. Read More

Thank you for your response. I am not aware of any G pill in India without GB. If ever I come across one I would certainly use it. Meanwhile, I shall alert my pharmacy friends.

While your reviews are very interesting and in some sense innovative, you would help the readers if you could avoid long paragraphs. They are a strain on the eyes especially of those with poor vision (say, persons like me!).

It is quite some time since I posted my comment on meleahk1's review. After that I am seeing this review again only now, and naturally I am very happy to see so many comments on the review after what I posted. Obviously, rating is neither easy nor fully objective - if there is anything by that ...quality. In other words, there is nothing as a measure of all measures. Yet, rating, when done true to one's conscience has to be accepted in good faith. The review is very helpful and useful to make up one's mind before rating reviews.Read More

Specialisation is a pernicious idea. As someone said, it is knowing more and more about less and less. I agree with Cousin2 that your review on a complex subject such as this should have been detailed.

While reading your review I was scratching my (guess what!) wondering what is the need for loading the stomach with alcohol, getting inebriated, and then going for all kinds of anti-hangover measures. It is possible that occasionally one may get drunk, but even that could be avoided.

It is indeed a very nice and informative review. I have been having very high C for quite some time, and I continue with the expensive medicine prescribed by my doctor without seeing him again. The pill you reviewed must be very useful. I do not like G and G B and so I do not take any food with G. I... wonder if the pill you mentioned is available in India.Read More

A review should do justice to its title which conveys the theme of the review. Your review has not done that. It is not structured. It lacks reliable and informative substance.

To s_imran80 & Jacob2002 Both of you are right. It is Windows 98 and not 97. I checked this after going through your comment. Thanks for pointing out the error. I am correcting the text accordingly.

IN a fast shrinking labour market, and in the age of golden hand shakes and VRSs, you seem to be tantalising the unemployed with the dream-jobs through teaching them the art of preparing CVs! What an irony!!

I enjoyed reading your review. I have been interacting with Japanese scholars. Though slow to learn English, they pick up the language and speak to us, in India, in English, at very slow pace. They also try to learn the vernacular depending on the duration of their stay. I have found them a pleasant... lot, a disciplined lot. No wonder, Japan is ahead of many other nations.Read More

I am somewhat confused by the thrust of your review, in particular when you refer to the 'dos' and 'don'ts' of covering letters. I got the impression that your review is meant for job-seekers. As far as others are concerned, covering letter can mean different things, in particular an introduct...ion on what is enclosed (like an e-mail on an attach). As a professional writer interacting with Western counterparts, I have been a non-conformist: I do not adhere to any rule-book, try to be as brief as I can, salutation is often by name, conclusion Truly, or just Yours, but seldom Faithfully. In Indian context, and for that matter in the context of other ex-colonies, using Sir is dangerous; for we believe in hierarchy, and if one is addressed as Sir, the meaning is that that person is above you; whereas in the West it is more of polite usage (recall the Wodehousean usage Sir for the dogs?). You are right again. I have taken a lot of space in Yahoo Geocities in the name of Home page. Probably better than Geocities are the Lycos web sites, in particular the tripod.com. I have taken a lot of space in that also. The worst sites are of msn, vsnl, and rediff. If I remember right the HCL ...web building site infinet (?) is a paid one. So, keep off. Read More

I hope all your serial reviews get into a more focussed site. I remember to have seen some. Probably you could use the search engine. I say this because the information you are providing is valuable and should help the specialists and generalists alike.
