TVS bikes are good. I have a victor GLX 125 and done around 1,75,000 kilometers since 2005 and did overhauling once but till now, it has given me mileage above 60. In city,I get mileage around 57 to 60 whereas on highways,I get mileage around 65 even today and 'TVS dont need any akshay kumar to te...ll all this that my bike gives mileage above 60' and I still commute 100 kms on this bike daily without any problem.Even at speeds of 60, I get good mileage around 63 kmpl on this bike which I dont think any bike gives. At this speed of 60, even my mileage champion CD 100SS gives mileage around 50 Only one problem is about vibration around speed of 70 and nothing elseRead More

he last comment itself shows the mentality of RMP ppl what more to say Elina is right.I was also approached by one of my friend for RMP scheme but I rejected it immidiately. The presentation was really bakwaas Why these RMP ppl praise themselves. The last comment shows the rudeness of RMP so ho...w can ppl trust From the last comment it is clear by itself that RMP ppl cant digest the truth and hence they are posting such comments For the last person asdfg571 ,I can only say that there is no harm in earning money but every human being has his/her own wishes regarding earning money so let them decide how they want to earn money But RMP does only one thing that is,they just taunt and make fun of the people that what are u earning, how much less u are earning etc etc Last but not least RMP has no right to decide how a person has to earn.It is the fundamental right of any person how much to earn. 100 percent right not only RMP but almost all MLMs have got the same fate. I have seen few friends of mine doing MLM from many years having same thing by invsting some money and later on telling others to join this scheme. If these MLM companies claim to provide good income, then why dont they gat...her huge masses of people in open. Why they just tell the people who have enrolled in RMP to bring their friends to a presentation which is full of selfish thoughts. In any presentation,if any person tells ''clap for me'' this itself tells the mentality of these people. These MLM companies know that Indian people are crazy for money and can do anything for earning money thats why these problems Currently RMP has 1,40,00000 ppl so just imagine averagely some 7000 rupees multiplied by 1 lac 40 thousand ppl so how much money has the person on top has got. In MLM,the person who is sitting n top can only break the chain by delinking himself and thus the people who are on bottom level will definately suffer. It is not guaranteed when the top most person will break the chain. If he sees that the money he wants is sufficient for targets,he can break the chain. At that time the lower level of the MLM chain will definately suffer Think 100 times before putting money in any scheme Last but not the least Nobody today gives single paisa without any reason. To earn even one or 2 rupee in one hour, some persons have to put newspapers/milk bags/work in fields etc Hardwork makes person understand value of money wheres smartwork corrupts the brain of person and that person always run after easy money.Read More

You are absoloute right Jaimin Tata Nano is victim of negativementality While learning to drive a car from a driving school in Pune,One fellow companion learner asked me which car I have booked. When I told him that I am going for Tata Nano,he started advising me that instead of going for a 2 l...ac 17 thousand for Nano, why dont you go for a second hand Santro or any other car like that.It will come within 2 lacs etc etc I didnt cared about their advises. Even today after 1 year and 9000 kms done,I am getting good results. I continuosly had driven a Nano for 700 kms in one day without any problem Also I get mileage of 27 kmpl on highway and 22 kmpl in city(Without AC) On highway,I ride max till 70 kph speed hence I get good mileage With AC,there is a slight drop in mileage but not less than 25 kmpl Only one drawback is that it is having only 15 liters fuel tank. I have requested Tata Motors to make it till 21 liters minimum so that any trip of 450 to 500 kms can be done without refuelling Let us hope for the best and see whether Tata motors would like this suggestionRead More

Cognizant is the worst employer in this whole world. I have worked with both T systems and later with Cognizant. I am aware of work culture of almost all IT companies in India I worked on projects in Logistics and Telecom domains. I found T systems work culture to be the best in my 11 years IT c...areer. Mind well I worked for 2-3 days continuosly without break, plus countless late nights without going home many times in T systems whereas I never worked beyond 8:00 pm with cognizant But still I find Cognizant the worst of all IT companies in India due to their attitude towards its workers(I dont use word employee. There is lot of difference between worker and an employee). One small thing I am telling you since you were the part of T sys Did any support staff people, top level managers,HR and operations people talked rudely/arrogantly with you? Answer will be No You will be always looked with respect in T systems because these support staff and the non billable people were having respect because we people were the bread winners for these people The behaviour of these people reflects attitude of company towards its employe If you are still working in cognizant I swear,a security guard, office boy, admin guys etc etc all the other support staff people can talk rudely and arrogantly with you and still you cant do anything against them. This is the difference how you are treated. The billable workers who are the bread winners are pounded with lot of work pressure, stringent deadlines and the non billable people enjoy on the labors of these people and still these shameless people dont have value for these bread winners. At the same time, these shameless people talk arrogantly to a labor/worker if he/she is non billable for just one day or two In any Indian IT company, you will feel this same work culture Isnt this a blood sucking approach? I put an end to this.I started my firm in PC H/W and netwking services and happy with it from 6 mths.Bye bye to sucRead More

NanoRahul Can you tell in detail like in what condition you were getting 25 kmpl and now in what condition you are getting 15 kmpl No need to wait for 10,000 kms for mileage. The Tata motors persons are fooling and bluffing. Factors affecting mileage are 1) Driving Speed 2) How Frequently you ...apply brake and clutch 3) How much time you use AC 4) How much congested traffic you drive Here are few tips for mileage 1) Use AC in circulation mode while in city and use AC in fresh air mode while on highways. On highways, use AC when required means that use AC for 15 to 20 mins and switch it off for 30 mins and again start if required. 2) Drive max upto 80 kmph.Dont exceed this speed 3) Dont press clutch and accelerator simultaneously 4) Switch off the engine at traffic signal if you are waiting for more than a minute. Also one way to measure mileage is from tank full to tank empty basis Fill the tank completely so you have 15 liters of petrol. Now dont fill the petrol till the Empty indicator starts blinking. Now you are having 3 liters of petrol remaining Hence you have consumed 12 liters of petrol since last refill.Note down the kilometer difference and divide it by 12.This will be your approx mileage. Do this once for city and once for highway. This mileage figure will be closer to the actual one.Read More

Azhar Please dont drive this car above 80 and I bet that this car will give you maximum around speed 70 to 80. @Indianwebmaster When Azhar mentioned cost to be 2,20,000,then definately it is a LX version Nano Nano Base model is somewhat around 1,50,000 CX model is around 1,80,000 and LX model i...s around 2,17,000 I own a Nano LX and I have not seen any problem regarding Ground clearance Once I had parked this vehicle inside a compound and when I was about to take this car out of that gate, one Skoda went ahead of me and while passing through gate, its lower side near to rear tyre brushed against the ground surface which came up like a speed breaker. But surprisingly for my Nano,it didnt brush against anything on ground Hence ground clearance for this vehicle is good. Read More

Actually Nano can be driven for around 500 kms also but after every 3 hours,it needs a 30 minutes break to avoid overheating and considering average speed of 60 kms per hour on highway,a strict break should be taken after 180 to max 200 kms on long journeys.

Neo8 Nano and autorickshaw?? How can you compare it. Have you collided with an Nano in city traffic?? Thats why you are making such comments on nano nano has everything needed for city as well as long drive in a car. For your information, when nano was launched,it was tested by tata motors fr...om mumbai to rohtang pass via Ahmedabad-Jaipur-Delhi-Chandigarh-Simla and back in 8 days hence these people have driven nano for almost 400 to 500 kms daily Totally three nanos were tested before launching. One I told you earlier, another one from Mumbai to Kolkatta and north eastern parts of India and third from mumbai till kanyakumari These 3 nanos were tested in 8 to 10 days. Yes their are some cons of nano like fuel tank of 15 liters and no left mirror. definately Tata would have given a 20 liter fuel tank and a left side mirror because it is useful while taking reverse and while parking. But anyway,it is good than a alto.these cars have cramped space and when I used ...to sit in zen,my head was almost touching the roof of car.But in nano, there is 6 inch difference between my head and the roof from interior. From inter point of view,I find this car has space almost like a santro. definately nano is a good buy Happy MotoringRead More

@nanomania, My car AC is not that effective but its heater is very good.I think that there is some kind of a problem in my ac.cooling is not very soon.I have to wait for 15 mins and till that hot air is flowing.Cold air starts flowing afterwards. Well now in this season,I require heater more tha...n a ac hence at the time of first servicing, the service center people will rectify it. Also for 25 kms,I had test driven nano on highway at speed max of 70 kph and believe me,I didnt find any difference in Santro and Nano at that speed. Nano went good on highway smoothly and it would have easily touched around 90 to 100 but I preferred to stay in economy zone. The only problem I find is its gear shifting.Changing from neutral to first and from third to second is little bit hard and requires power otherwise the other gearshifts are smooth. Regarding diesel version, Diesel car is good for them who use it daily because if diesel car not used for 15 to 20 days can give problems later on.I generally drive car on weekends because for going to office,I prefer bike due to lot of congested traffic in evening.I once tried from office to home on this car and it took around 1 hour to reach home which is 8 kms from my office and it takes 20 mins to half hour max on my bike. Also diesel version of nano will cost same like an indica. It will be priced around 2.85 lacs on road with a 1000 cc engine maybe.Read More

In Pune the On road price of Nano LX is 2,07,000 and 4800 rupees extra for the 99 rupees per month maintainence contract for 4 years.Hence It costed me around 2,11,000 on road with downpayment of just 1000 rupees and EMI of 4614 rupees for 4 years loan from Tata Motors finance. How much mileage do you get? I also booked Nano LX Lunar Silver and expecting delivery next week Well I have heard from few people that on highways if driven around speed of 70 to 80 km/hr it gives mileage around 25 or even more Yes I definately agree with you that fuel tank is very small.I thoug...ht that it was more than 20 liters but It is just 15 liters. So on a highway drive, you need to fill petrol every 200 to 250 kms. Increasing tyre height by 1 inch will decrease stability because if it happens so,then Nano Length will have to be increased by around 5 to 10 cm which will make it equal to M800 in length.Read More

It is not good to rebore any bike. Regarding vibrations above 60:- TVS star city is not the bike which can be ridden above 70 kmph for a longer time.Generally a 100 cc/110 cc bike is to be driven around 50 for good mileage and smoothness Pickup Low: It is because TVS star City is a low end torque... bike like Hero Honda Glamor which means that you can drive in 4th gear at speed around 20 kmph in congested city traffic. So you can get only one thing pickup or good speed and torque If you want pickup, you will have to sacrifice good top speed and top end torque and if you want good low end torque for city riding, you need to sacrifice top end torque and pickup. TVS star city comes in low end torque category hence its throttle response is less at high speds above 60,hence there are vibrations above 60. The other thing is that you rebored your engine in 8 months itself. basically reboring means you put a heavier piston which drops the rpm and hence pickup is affected and due to it,your bike will always stop when you apply brakes at signal with engaging clutch. Also since the bike gave you around 92 kmpl mileage, hence I think that your carburretor tuning was set to lean burn by the service center. You could have adjusted to a setting where you could get mileage around 70-75 kmpl for normal burn settings and your problem might have been solved by sacrificing some mileage(10 or 20 rupees job which any local mechanic can do) If you would not have rebored it, resale value of star city also would have increased by around 5000 rupees and if you would not have told that customer about reboring done previously, maybe it would create problems afterwards for you later. maciso due to people like you,Honda and suzuki etc are selling their products even though they are crap. Thus our money from India goes outside our country. Why dont people complain about Honda quality? I have seen many Honda Unicorns,Shine throwing out black smoke from silencers(Quite unusual for... 4 strokes due to worn out pistons in just 3 years and that too from Honda whose quality is supposed to be good) I have seen many Activas whose front suspensions have broken in 2 years and new ones cost around 2500 rupees. So comparing Activa with Kinetic,Kinetic is anyways better Stunner which is 125 cc bike gives only 40 to 45 kmpl mileage without any extraordinary performance which is unusual because 125 cc bikes gives mileage upto 60. So conclusion is that whether it is Honda,Hero Honda,Suzuki All manufacturers manufactures vehicles which lasts upto only 5 years TVS is not the only one. My question for Indian product haters is What do you achieve in buying crap-Jap bikes and scooters(Only performance but what do you want to achieve by racing in city limits and that too by wasting too much petrol due to poor mileage?)Read More

In any conditions dont drive this bike above 60 kmph throughought the life of bike. Already getting suzuki spares is a problem and if speeds of this bike exceed above 60,there are quite a lot chances of clutch getting damaged which can prove costly and tedious. So dont ever take risk of testing ma...x speed of this bike.I would have not said anything about checking max speed if this bike was was from Bajaj,TVS or Honda.Read More
