My dear if you look to this site..It is RD Burman who have most copied songs..To be precises 36 numbers...He is even more superior than today's Anu Malik.. You RDB fans were Jeleous of Laxmikant-Pyarelal's towering success.. Laxmikant-Pyarelal were alwasy ahead and were first preference to any... of the film producers and directors..than any of the music directors including RD..RD was always second to LP...Read More

It is unfortunate that Indian Media is ignoring Laxmikant-Pyarelal's music but the fact is that none of the Music Directors have given so much of Hits with consistantly...LP were the first choice for all the film producers and the directors... The songs mentioned by you are equally good but LP ha...s produced some GEMS which you have not mentioned.... You should have written this review in 20 best songs of Laxmikant-Pyarelal...Read More

I am in full support with you. We have much more better talanted actors available in India.. I think Amitabh Bachchan wants to follow the path of Sunil Dutt, who also tried for his Son ( another useless guy) Sanjay Dutt to become star... We should stop watching the Star sons movies...

Read my review to know more about Laxmikant-Pyarelal. My heart is full of LP's music. Indian media is biased. They do not want to promote LP's music...It is unfortunate for our culture...LPs music was totally Indian...but very sweet as well as melodious.

Ajay!! Really an excellent review.. I remember in 1973 the entire year it was 'BOBBY'..wherever you go. Songs, Dress..and 'Prem Naam Hai Mera Prem Chopra'. Can today's Music Directors create such Powerful Music, to carry the entire succes of the film, on its music in a manner Laxmikant-Pya...relal have composed in their films including 'BOBBY'.Read More

This is the perfact effect of how the media is biased. You have selected only those songs which are oftenly being aired on Indian Radio stations in India. I was surprised to see none of the songs of Music Directors Shankar-Jaikishan and Laxmikant-Pyarelal with whom Mohammad Rafi have sung m...aximum numbers of Super Hit and extremely melodious songs. I am very sorry to say that Indian Radio Stations have forgotton SJ's and LP's songs. They should not forget the contributions made by these legendry Music Directors. Also try to read my review on the same subject, to know about more beautiful melodies of Mohammad Rafi...Read More

I came to India after a gap of nearly 3 years. What I noticed is that the Private Radio and the TV stations are biased .  They just want to promote the songs of 2 or 3 music directors only. I feel you really need to go into the depth of the songs of Kishor Kumar. I do agree with ajay55 that with Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Kishor Kumar have sung many more many hit and melodious songs. 'mere mehaboob quyamat hogi' is the personal favorite song of KK. Just for the information Kishor Kuma...r has sung as many as 400 + songs under the music director Laxmikant-Pyarelal... I am surprised why No songs of Kishor with LP.....in your list...Read More

A great REVIEW... As we all know that India is a country of various music trends . Each and every corner of india has his own music better known as folk music. The biggest work this duo has done that they mixed these folk trends in their songs and brought the whole indian music together. That is w...hy a person which is Indian can always feel the real 'MITTI KI SUGANDH'in the music of LAXMIKANT-PYARELAL.I always think that why their music is so close to the heart of a man like me which is living in a era of so called digital technology and there is the only answer that the music is all about melody and no other music director has given melodies like this great duo.Without any regrets I want to say that this pair is the best music director of the history of the hindi cinema. 'Dosti' Film has not only consolidated the position, as a big and powerful name in HIndi Film Music, for Laxmikant-Pyarelal but also created a threat for big musical names like Naushad, Shankar Jaikishan, Madanmohan, C Ramchandra, O.P.Nayyar and Ravi...and also to some extent Kalyanji-Anandaij. ...Good Review......Read More
