Reviewed Saroja Movie

I happened to see Saroja recently. After watching the trailers and hearing about the movie I had very great expectation and was, should I say utterly disappointed.  The movie started with an unwanted song - may be wanted for the or for Yuvan's sake. After some fresh scenes with the crazy boys it...Read more

All logical questions - which would be raised by any normal individual. But for RAJNI there is no logic only MAGIC. It is better to watch Rajni fighting with 50 people as we are used to watch Pandiarajan fight with 30 - 40 people at one go. Only Parthiban was more realistic. We are used to such f...ights when in real life we just run 100 miles away. But we have admit one thing this film could be done comforatbly by none other than Rajni and rajni alone - Nobody could have been able to play the role like this - not even Kamal or VikramRead More

Dear Farookhbhai, Your comprehensive review is good and does justice to his awesome talent. Talat's songs were mainly composed by Anil Biswas,Salil Chaudhry,Madan Mohan and to some extent SJ and C Ramchandra. My favourites are the first 3.They tapped his potential to the best. What do you think?

I am also a devotee of Mohd Rafi but I have noticed that under Cons you have said'None'.For music directors such as Anil Biswas,C.Ramchandra,Salil Chaudhry and Shankar(of SJ team) Talat and Mukesh were the preferred singers.Talat's voice was equally silken and his Urdu diction was superi...or so that in ghazals he achieved a better effect.Similarly, for pathos filled songs to be sung in deep bass Mukesh had no equals.Hence Rafi also had his weak points but that only makes him that much human. Till the early 70s he strode the firmament of Hindi film playback singers like a Colossus. In solos he was outstanding in all genres and simply magnificent in duets. In duets it is debatable, who sang better with him, Lata or Asha? Even now when I listen to his songs I am left spellbound by his voice and expression. Only God could have created this magic called RafiRead More
