>> Is This a PUJA? <<

Posted on Sep 30, 2008 under India

Earlier it was Niana Devi in Himachal and now it’s Chamunda Devi in Jodhpur. It’s a high time to think about our processes which we follow for worship and also the facilities given to pilgrims. Let’s not follow what has been coming from years. Systems & Processes are made as per the time and context. Let’s not blindly obey them. With time we need changes.

There could be two ways for improvements. Firstly, the government should make sure that the facilities provided at these locations are sufficient enough and they should also take responsibility to control the authority if there’s no any organizing body. Local level district headquarters can take care of identifying such places and drafting a plan for safety. State Government can look into this plan and act accordingly.

Secondly, our religious Gurus can sit and draft a better way of doing Puja instead of chaotic and crowded “darshans”. Let’s concentrate on improving the system. It’s more important and meaningful than any verbal sympathy. I would urge them to be reformers and not just followers.

Let’s change few things for betterment. Let’s act with time and context.

>> Are We Indian ?? <<

Posted on Sep 23, 2008 under India

A conspiracy to divide the country is prevailing in air. Mud throwing or sprinkling dust particles can only make faces dirty but surely it can’t clean the society. “Do we think as a responsible Indian first?” is the question we all should ask ourselves. Aren’t we considering ourselves an ardent IT professional, a professional doctor, a smart advocate, etc first and then a citizen of a country called “India”? Aren’t we giving more preference to our job / profession and less preference to our country? Aren’t we browsing HBO / Discovery / Colors even on the day when there’s a bomb blast in Delhi / Mumbai / Bangalore? Aren’t we just abusing political authorities without providing any solution?

In a democratic environment government is run by people so we should think twice before blaming government for anything. It’s “we the people” who are responsible. It’s our responsibility to make sure that we live in a country like Zimbabwe or we live in a country like Switzerland. It’s completely our choice.

Have we ever thought what are we giving back to our society, to our country, to our motherland?

Do we feel any responsibility towards “Bharat Mata”?

This is not expected from all but even if one percent of Indians start thinking about this then there would be a different future for our country. We surely lack “patriotism” and this is a high time to admit this. We did a mistake by overlooking the basic problems of our country and concentrating just on development or rather say money. Let’s change our mindset. Let’s give equal importance to our mental growth as well. We need to make a balance between our traditional growth and our financial growth.

We have a different history and when we’ll blindly try to follow a different path for development, there would be a clash. This applies even to the politicians. They need to understand the history of India / Indian mindset before formulating their policies. Culturally, we are richer than rest of the world so stop copying things and let’s go for an Indian approach.

~~ Bihar Flood - A Different Look ~~

Posted on Sep 17, 2008 under General

Devastation created by Flood in Bihar is worsening day by day. Media has exempted itself from covering any news from this part of India but people who have visited can surely tell you how each and every individual is struggling for his / her life, for food, for water and for many necessary human requirements. Last weekend I was traveling in these affected areas. There are many villages which are still not reachable. People are still trapped and nobody knows what’s happening with them. Water level has gone down so boats can’t operate. Roads and rail links are already broken. I got a chance to go to few remote villages and see the real scene. I must say that those who are doing aerial survey don’t know the real issues faced by people. They can only see that water level has come down but it has created some new problems for people. They can’t use boats now and there’s way to use vehicle as well. Walking is not safe as you don’t know the exact water level at many places. Snake biting has become a common issue. Many people are dying because of snake biting. Other diseases like Cholera, diarrhea is also spreading like anything. Several NGOs are working but they definitely need more help to survive.

I have prepared a video which is posted here. Please visit my photo gallery to see more pictures.

Song running in background is one of the all time greatest Bhojpuri songs which shows the Bihar of Happy Days...

~~ Pyar Ke Kaagaz Pe ~~

Posted on Sep 05, 2008 under General

Pyar ke kaagaz pe dil ki kalam se,
Pehli baar kalaam likha,
Maine khat mehboob ke naam likha,
Maine khat mehboob ke naam likha..

Pehle pyar ka pehla gam,
Pehli baar hain aakhien nam,
Pehla hai tanhai ka ye mausam,
Aa bhi jao warna ro denge hum…

In childhood when I used to listen these songs, I never understood the meaning. For me they were some “chalu” songs with some humming lyrics. When I grew little more and reached my teenage, it gave me the earliest feeling of something which I later know is called love. A strange face was wandering though my heart. May be that face was playing hide and seek with my novice feeling. There was a hidden crave to see that face, to feel the aura of that soul which was bewildering my mind. It was a weird mess, a senseless sensitivity, which was causing a hiatus for my common senses. I recklessly followed my mind, tried my best to make a fine balance but ultimately conceded the tune of my heart.

Few years later when I reached my youth it came again with a bang. It swept off my calmness and coolness. It created ripples in the ocean of my heart. It blew away every cherished feeling which I was treasuring from many years. I understood the meaning and I found myself a lonely beggar on a planet where each corner was filled, filled with richness, richness of mind and richness of heart.

It’s time to share your emotional journey from childhood to youth. It time to say whether your dreams were nourished or crashed.

~~ Bihar Flood Relief Fund ~~

Posted on Sep 01, 2008 under General

The curse of Bihar roared again. Kosi won the scuffle as nature had its own plan to rebuke the rowdiness way of life. People lost everything as they didn’t follow the rules of nature. Nation surrendered its arm, its power, to this disaster. Supaul stifled, Araria admitted defeat, Madhepura mourned, Saharsa sobbed but India laughed, laughed on its weakness, laughed on its dejection.Today as authorities struggle to cope up with the situation, Indian Army has stepped into bringing relief to 41 Lacks of marooned people. It makes it the biggest relief operation world has ever seen.

Government authorities ran away as they had to save their own life. After 13 days, it was decided to send more troops from Indian army. They started their road journey from Delhi to reach affected areas. It would surely take 4-5 more days for them to reach their. After 13 days, Indian government decided to deport more boats and they landed to Purnia airport. The disaster was declared as nation tragedy but there’s no involvement of nation yet. There are many villages where people are trapped from last 13 days. They are weeping, crying but there’s no sign of a new life for them. Above points illustrate the seriousness of authorities.

I enquired about government’s appeal for relief fund. I enquired through their website but there’s no information there. I wrote an email to Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar about this. I urged him to make sure that all this information is published on the official website of Bihar Government. It would help people to donate money and other useful things.

Meanwhile you can donate your money to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund:

1. Write a Cheque to

A/C Name: “Chief Minister Relief Fund, Bihar” A/C No: 10839124928
Bank: State Bank of India, Secretariat Branch, Patna.

Put your Phone number, name and address on the back of the cheque.

Deposit the cheque to the nearest State Bank of India cheque drop box or you can also send it to

The Chief Minister Secretariat
4 KG Deshratna Marg, Patna 800001, Bihar (India)

Disaster relief State Control Room Number:: 91-612-2217305/2215027/6452572

Apart from this we can also help through different private organizations like:

1. Make your cheaque/DDs payable to "Zee Foundation" and send it to Zee Foundation, FC – 19, Sector 16A, Noida 201301 – Please mentioned in a letter that it is for Bihar Relief Fund.

~~ Flood in Bihar - A Must Read ~~

Posted on Aug 30, 2008 under General

Do you know about the biggest tragedy of recent world’s civilization?
Do you know about the largest relief mission of the world?
Do you know about the biggest rescue operation India has ever seen?

Perhaps many of us are not aware of it. There’s nothing surprising in this. When we have a senseless part of our body we don’t even realize whether any ant is biting there or there’s any thorn nipped in. When any part becomes useless and starts creating problems for other functional parts, doctors advise to cut that part from our body. The same is happening with Bihar now. It’s a useless, functionless part of India which always creates problem for entire country. It adds no value to the nation and Biharis are always dejected from other parts of India. I’m really surprised to know that nobody has yet demanded to cut this part. I would suggest other fellow Indians to please raise this issue now. Bihar has nothing great to offer and these people are thieves, dacoits, uncivilized and know only dirty politics. Why they should be allowed to be part of India?

You must be surprised to read this from me. But, I’m deeply saddened to write this. I’m really downhearted to see no response, no reaction from any part of India about the worsening situation of Bihar, which has erupted because of a natural disaster and bad foreign policy of India. I said natural disaster because it’s flood and rain that has created the problem. I said bad foreign policy because it’s the Indian government’s policy to deal with Nepal on these issues. It has been a problem for Bihar from hundreds of years but still there’s no solution. There’s no control of water in Nepal and most of the rivers of Bihar come from there. We need to talk seriously. If Nepal can’t manage it, we need our own investment to improve the water control functions.

Today, 41 Lacks people are suffering this disaster of flood. Kosi, which is also called as the curse of Bihar has changed its root again after 200 years. You can imagine when a river is changing its path and flowing to a new root where people are residing a normal life. Government needs to evacuate 41 lacks people from these areas to take them out to a safer place. There’s no sufficient help from any authority. Bihar government is alone struggling with this largest tragedy of the world. People are dying because of water, food, medicine but it’s a hard truth that only Bihar government can’t provide relief to 41 Lacks people and especially when they are spread across 15 districts. There’s continuous rain which is causing problem for helicopters to operate. Food packets is not reaching at correct places as everywhere there’s water and only water.

We need involvement of Indian Army in larger extent. We need food packets. We need medicines. We need plastics. And most important we need boats to boost our rescue operation. We need so many things but getting nothing. I remember when a small boy Prince was trapped in the well, entire nation was praying for it, even I prayed to him. And why not, he is a child of our nation. We should pray for his wellness. But, today when 41 Lacks people are trapped and on the verge of dying there’s no help from anybody. Forget about help, nobody is even praying for them. Shall I say it’s only because they are BIHARIS?

Please read my latest post if you want to help these people:

~~ Kabhi Hindi Kabhi English ~~

Posted on Aug 28, 2008 under General

Hinglish is the hottest portmanteau in the northern and central India today. Bole to ye Hinglish is rocking. It gives you flexibility to use Hindi and English with same fun and masti. Woh kahte hain na saanskritik milan gives a new dimension to the world and that’s what happening with this new Hinglish Culture. Pehle to sirf urban youths were using it but abhi everybody is trapped with this magic. Even in villages you will find people saying “Singh is Kinng me Akshay Kumar ki acting was great”. Matlab ki ees nayi bhasha ka jadu is spreading like anything.

Yaha to hum India ki baat kar rahe the but some experts feel that the growing popularity of Hinglish can even conquer the entire world. People around the world have already started using words like Chai, gora, jungli, desi, etc.

We all too use Hinglish in a larger extent. Hum "Jab we Met" ko like hi nahi karte but we promote it too. So, how about writing some of our favorite Hinglish statement here. N haan humesha ki tarah we’ll have prizes for that.

Let’s celebrate Hinglish culture on Mouthshut.
