Oh, that is sad! I am no longer in Pune so I couldn't go there anyway but that was my number 1 choice whenever I considered going to a disc. :(

LOL. Thanks Sonali. See, I am a guy, I wanted to Katrina so I hung on, waited, took this slow headache, but I watched it in like 15 minutes instalments so it was not that much of a torture, finally I saw Katrina, saw her role in it, saw her performance, and was bitterly disappointed. Serves me right,... right?Read More

Hey Randy, Thanks for stopping by to comment. I live in the UK so I don't get to hear all the hype about movies. The names I get if I go to the indian movie-based sites or from friends. That's why I realized it when I watched it. But I am curious, who announced it that it's a copy, the producer/dire...ctor? Of course, we are both entitled to our opinions and opinions differ, that's why mouthshut is so successful because each opinion adds something new. If you enjoyed it and I didn't that just means that our tastes and expectations are different. Have fun. Cheers.Read More

Damn! Dhamaal was the next one on my list. Now I am not sure if I want to watch it. Thanks for your comment on my review bud. I got the warning at least. Now I am wondering if there are ANY original movies in Bollywood.

David Dhawan movie with Govinda and Salman in main starcast, the promise is big. The movie itself however, fails to deliver completely on this promise. In the first 5 minutes as I heard Salman use the word "Love guru" for the first time I guessed, correctly, that this was a remake/adaptation/...Read more

Guys, Thank you very much for your comments. Feedback is always welcome, especially when someone says 'Liked your review' *grins*. lpshonlu - To answer your points 1. I don't think it was a cliched ending. Where do you find a hero mature enough to ask for help? A bollywood hero can handle 100 such... villains with one arm in the sling and both legs riddled with bullets. :-) Even in real life, people do get back together and if they love each other they will get back togeter despite difficulties. So there has to be some drama, it's a movie after all. But I liked it that there were no overdramatic scenes. 2. Spidey and Peter Parker both are broke guys. He can hardly afford rent how will he buy a cellphone? And in US, you must know being there, they charge even for incoming calls. Did you notice that they gave Spidey the key to the city but not a little AT&T cell phone to receive calls for help. :) Regards, SunilRead More

More often than not sequels are made for making money by cashing in on the success of a hit movie. I am glad to see that the Spiderman series is an exception and the director and writers have taken care to not only establish S-3 as a full-fledged independent movie but also to weave it as a pa...Read more

I will admit without beating around the bush that it makes me feel very good when someone rates my review as VU. But that's not the primary reason why I write reviews. Writing a review is, in my own, small, humble way a way to give something back to the society. If I had a good, fun experience with ...a movie, I want others to have that same good experience. If I wasted 3 hours of my life on a crap movie, I want others to avoid that horrible experience. That's why I write reviews and that's why I will keep writing reviews. If you have seen King Kong, I mean really seen it on the big screen where it belongs, you would know that the director has led us through journey of emotions using the technology and his own unique style of story-telling. Have you heard of the 'nav-ras' of literature? Name a single one that's not in that movie. That's what I call movie-making. Who said romance should not be combined with movie-technology? What do you think King Kong is? It's hard to believe because when someone comes from Texas, USA to India to meet a girl, they don't pack a 30-inch, 15Kg. telescope in their luggage. It's just too convenient. Second point that you have not mentioned is - Is it feasible even possible to see a girl clearly across a space of less than 100 feet with a telescope? That's what binoculars are made for. The director should have used a camcorder. Akshay is a geek not a scientist, he'll have to be a research scientist to project an image from a telescope like he did. I don't have a problem with technology, I love technology. That's why it irks me big time when some smart directors do not portray the facts properly because they think that Indian junta will swallow anything as long as it's done with drama and music. Video calling from space is available, to NASA, not to households. Check the facts before you call them facts. About the space station, you are right. I stand corrected. As I said, it's my opinion. Don't take it too personally. ;)Read More

Thank you for the kind words, you have praised the review more than it deserved thank you very much indeed. You should of course, go ahead and write yours also, as that'll create a true representation of how the viewers felt. Also, I would have missed so many things, esp. whatever good things were... there in the movie. Thank you and I will keep writing despite angry retorts like the one below your comment. :) Warm regards, SunilRead More

What infuriated me most (as usual) was the stupid logical-technological blunders. Akshay is an astronaut not an astronomer, why is he carrying a telescope? Maybe the director doesn’t know the difference. Using a telescope to watch a girl less than 100m away. Not possible. Your own window is wide ...open and lights on. You never, ever do that, when you are staking a house. Then you project, yes, project the image from the telescope to a big screen. Wow! Sci-fi. Akshay works now, (the whole story in the flashback), in a space-station. It can’t be a satellite as satellites are not manned. Again Sci-fi. Video calling from space-station around moon to Earth. More Sci-fi. And no lag in the picture or sound…wow...not even sci-fi can do it so...Bollywood miracle. And on and on and on… Read More

Jaan-e-man – one of my favourite words in the Urdu language, but this will never be one of my favourite movies in the Hindi cinema. Before going for anything, especially movies I come to MS and look at the negative reviews. That tells me everything I need to know. Your review was informative and amusing, I like that satirical style. Other than that, I was not planning to watch this and needed good enough reason. I think the re...ason people are watching it is cos there isn't anything else worthwhile running. Thank you for a very useful review. Now I need to find one that tells me how it ends ..;)Read More
