Nice review and was very encouraging :) . I am 6ft tall and medium build, weight abt 80kilos. I want to buy a cruiser, because i like long drives. My spending capacity is below 1 lakh. Have read lots of reviews of Avenger 220 and am left with mixed feelings. Also the only other genuine option is a T...hunderbird, which unfortunately is way too big for me, considering my build and my budget. Moreover there are lots of hushed up complaints which many bullet owners never want to discuss.
My concerns are:
1. Will Avenger 220 suit my height?
2. Lots of reviews mentioned about bad front discs and the slippery back wheel, is it unavoidable?
3. Many reviews also spoke about the rusting parts. I live in a coastal city, Vizag. What would you suggest now? Coz i feel even the bullet would need my regular attention and cleaning here.
Thank you all in advance.

Excellent review. I am 6ft tall !! Checkd out the display bike at the showroom, nly to find the handle bar touching my knees while turning!! now im in a dilemna to buy this bike, coz this is the nly one i want to buy!! ny suggestions on what the possibilities for me will be greatly appreciated. Also... the braking comment now leaves me scared. I started biking on a Calliber115 so not new to bajaj braking. But since 4yrs have been driving Yamaha Gladiator 125cc and the braking is awesome. Watched it in 3d. Farhan is an excellent director and it is sad he had to depend on Hollywood flicks to make this movie. Stylish movie made on par with Hollywood films. Decent 3d for an Indian movie but zero effects.

Hi Chetan, congrats.
I had the number plate fixed under my front fairing, just like all other bikes... get it fixed at any local mechanic...though i had mine fixed at the showroom itself.. bcoz, mine was one of the earliest...nd yamaha guys hadnt yet sorted out wher to fix the plate...
As for ...the tips... make sure withi n the first 2000kms you dont rev hard and keep an eye on the rpm meter.. dnt cross 4000rpm in the running in period(ie 2000kms). Dnt use self start for the first 25kms... use kick start first day in the morning. Also use it if your bike has been idle for more than 2-3 hours. Get the services done frequently..Dnt race... and dnt modify the back wheel.. Accelarate gradually...use brakingin this order: back brake first and then the front disc, unless its an emergency, use front disc... most imp: Always wear HELMET.
Alright, then good luck and have a happy safe drive

Hi, Even my silencer filter is broken. Got it replaced with a new acrylic silencer from Bajaj. However it cost me 1800 bucks. You can get a duplicate at around 1400-1500. But trust me, now the bike sounds like, sorry you cant hear a sound at all.. a lot silent than even Shine while in runnning. Pick... up is still great and mileage is around 56... 5 yrs and running. A checkup every 2 months is all thats needed....enjoy... From the latest lot, i suggest shine or gladiator. DOnt go by market talks, but these bikes are gud, as im driving one galdi...xcd is useless, so is new cbz, apache, etc....Read More
