This review is about Samsung Blu-Ray player. I purchased a Samsung smart Blu Ray player to watch old DVDs and YouTube and other streaming apps. Prior to purchasing this product, Samsung customer care confirmed that their brand provides 1-year warranty for all products purchased in India. S...Read more

I too had very bad experience from Samsung. They are very unprofessional and not focussed on satisfying their customers.

SHP8900 is a headphone with high impedance. So it will sound good only when connected to a proper Sound-Card or a dedicated Headphone-Amplifier. People who have reviewed after using these headphones with sound-card have stated that it has very powerful bass.

Yes, Philips is truly a great brand. It makes great quality products at lower cost than others. I own a Philips LED TV - it's a superb TV at low cost.

Very few people realized the superiority of Plasma TVs over LED TVs as you did. Kuro and Viera Plasma TVs' picture quality were miles ahead of that of LED TVs. Did you check out Samsung PNF8500 ? Most reviews claimed it had world beating picture quality. It was also sadly the last Plasma TV made ...by Samsung.Read More

You could contact Sony customer care to check whether service is still offered for CRT TVs (I heard Sony doesn't service TVs more than 10 years old). If not, the best alternative would be to go for the latest LED technology TVs.

Irrespective of whether Samsung products are purchased locally or abroad, their service charges are high, just like their quality. Panasonic and LG are better options any day.

A DVD Player is the best alternative to cable-TV/DTH connection. It's a must for watching our favorite movies(without lengthy commercials) when cable TV channels are all junk or boring. After more than 2 years of heavy usage, my Philips DVD Player became very slow in reading discs. So, I needed ...Read more

Korean and Chinese electronics brands may grab the market share with super-cheap TVs. But only Japanese know how to make quality Televisions. One weekend my colleague's need for an LCD TV made us walk in and out of many stores until we finally reached one where we decided to buy one. With our...Read more

Is the 'Made In Japan' era over ?

Japanese Comeback Thanks for your comment. I feel Japanese electronics are better than their Korean/Chinese counterparts even today. If they find a way to manufacture quality products at near Chinese costs, they can certainly have a great comeback...

Affordable models of SHARP Yes, *this* is the highest end TV of SHARP. But, the company's released other lower end models too. My friend recently purchased a 29'' Sharp LED TV. Not only was its cost less than 25K but also its quality is superb. After all, it's Japanese technology !

Sony was the quality King during the CRT era but is no more the same. While buying products, people just go by brand name which is a pure misconception these days when every company outsources and manufactures its products. Probably the only brand which makes its entire Televisions on its own is ...SHARP. In the future, you could try SHARP TVs since they are of very high quality and reputed for long life.Read More
