Parent company Zylog became bankrupt. Their board of directors were lying to the share holders and SEBI about their profits - thereby manipulating the stock prices. Now they got caught and they don't have the 'profit' that they made in the last 2 years because their stock prices flatlined after this... became public news. So, suddenly their market capital vanished and they did not have money to pay for the bandwidth which they bought from TATA, BSNL and Reliance. By they i mean the 'company' not the company board. Those buggers will have sold their stocks at the peak and accumulated a lot of dough by now. Now they are trying to sell the operations to local cable companies - not a single company (companies like hathaway and tikona are avoiding this company because of this SEBI fiasco) but to many individual local cable operators. This will be done in the next 4-6 months. After which time they promise you that they will add validity based on your days of lost service. If you ask me this is a whole lot of balderdash. Also in some places they are operating at reduced capacity - shitty bandwidth and no customer care - some places have a scheduled shutdown on weekends. This is because as per the TOS mandated by TRAI they can take upto 3 days to repair a fault. Anything over three day they will have to refund the money or additional validity. So, even now they are trying to screw people over. Donot recharge and forget about these cheaters. Ps I burned their CPE in the trash - some closure at last.Read More

A Customer need not be 'Patient' - that is not part of the TOS that was agreed upon giving the connection. Also what are you doing manipulating the review scores?. I was a Wi5 customer for 18 months and I have seen far faster and reliable ISP and as fate would have it there is such an option availa...ble and i am taking it. The renewal call from these cheaters will be interesting i guess. Because i have shifted to some place else and i have trashed their CPE. Interesting times.Read More

It appears like the employees are back to work. Not still sure what happened. This much is sure, their stocks plummeted in the Stock exchanges. SEBI is investigating the chairman and the CEO in connection with fabricating false profit claims to investors and their quarterly profit for this quarter i...s ~64 lakhs as opposed to as many crores in the previous year. They owe TATA, BSNL and other backbone providers crores worth of fee and the employees were not paid from march so most of them jumped ship and they didnt even have the workforce to turn of f the transmitters despite not having the backbone bandwidth. Now the employees are back to work after SEBI announcement... smells fishy.Read More

It is true. The parent company Zylog Systems (BSE: ZSE) seems to be going under. Right this moment, for the upper management it will be a scramble of who has most funds with them and how they are going to disassociate themselves from a sinking ship.

Great review. The flaws in service - after sales service has been a problem for almost all the corporates/businesses in India. It is like a burden for them to talk with the customers. I am not talking about airtel but my overall experience with many corporation and businesses in india. There is no e...thics or even commonsense. I wanted to ask these airtel guys one query in their 'relationship center', why isn't their damned dongle working with my Macbook?. It was advertised that it works with OSX. The answer is simple - no support for mountain lion yet. For this i was made to go there for 3 days. And they treated me like some loan defaulter (they also treated a bank manager the same way :-( when i was waiting there - he was trying to call his son/daughter who is abroad). Three friggin days. Now what am i supposed to do with their dongle?. It is time these so called government did something to protect the customers - like mandatory 15 day cashback or something. But then again these corporates will lobby against it and we all know who will win that thing.Read More

The bill for that service was exactly 937. Delivery was timely - same day evening. But i took it the next day. The teflon coating was done and the bike looked shiny. Engine oil was changed - there was a slight lag in acceleration - it'll settled down after keeping the engine on the boil for a while.... The rear wheel was not a alignment issue. It is better now but still no fix as we are not able to identify the problem. Small discomfort - not a big problem. I just hope i didn't damage the chassis - which i know is pretty impossible for a fall. Overall the service was a 'non-event' , as it should be. Will update when i find what the stability issue is. Also i might have forgotten some aspect that i should cover in the review. Pardon me. I will update when it hits me. Also Guys, thanks for the .... review on my review - or what ever it is called.
