Connecting to MTNL Trump 3G Jadoo Card

Posted on Nov 08, 2009 under General

Like Review over MTNL 3G, even I was not having a positive feeling about PSU Telecom Products. Although I have seen like my colleague B. S. Negi said what goes with Government Product that once set to work, they will work flawlessly, although you have to wait endlessly in case any fault occurs in the same.

I have used BSNL Dialup in Azamgarh, BSNL Broadband in Allahabad, dea Internet (GPRS, PC) in Azamgarh, New Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi etc., Aircel (GPRS, PC) in New Delhi and I could say that I got BSNL Broadband and Idea only good enough to rely on till now. Till now, I was on Idea Internet, even after they raised prices (earlier it was 5 Rs. per day for Unlimited Use and now its 20 Rs. per day for Unlimited Use) as its the best option, if you have edge in your area. All other options are more costly, if you are a heavy user.
Anyway, I was writing over MTNL 3G. I bought it from a local shop as the MTNL guy didn’t showed up for 2 days and then it was a total one day wait for getting the SIM activated. The excuse was server problem. Pretty funny!!! for the company giving first 3G for connectivity. :)

Initial reception was good and I was able to get around 350 kbps download speed and relatively poor upload speed of about 50-70 kbps on my cell. Although still remained was connecting it to PC. After searching over Internet, I got Chandan’s link and it resolved the issue. The solution was to use Nokia PC Suit and choosing to configure connection manually and putting pps3g as access point and leaving all other fields blank.

For the people, not using Nokia PC Suit, I found another get around.
Go to Control Panel, then Modem, Choose modem and put [at+cgdcont=1,"ip","pps3g"] without brackets, then simply create a dialup in known way and you are set to go.

What I am still feeling trouble here is the UMTS network reception in my room. I get all network line or most of them, but still I guess, I am not getting proper network with MTNL UTS here. If I put it in UMTS only mode, then I could actually see when 3G network is dipping. That’s causing one more issue heating up my cell as Network is constantly interchanging or discovering mode. These trouble are holding me to recharge the cell for unlimited data plan which is costing Rs. 2500/- per month, although other options are available like Rs. 250 for 0.5 GB and Rs. 450/- for 1GB. No point in going to unlimited if you can't reach upper limits of data usages.

Although for the users who want to go for it and searching that whether it will work in their area or not. Here is the 3G Map provided by MTNL Delhi

Although still I get the famous Error 734: The PPP link control protocol was terminated (Thanks to poor network reception in my room) while connecting to internet. This is an error from Server Side, if you are not getting proper network reception. With this error, I guess you can’t do anything about except waiting to get it resolved on your own or restarting your cell again and again :(

Sachin Tendulkar slams 175 against Australia: Will you question him again?

Posted on Nov 05, 2009 under General

We always called him a wonder boy, the little genius, greatest of the greatest. We always placed our all hopes over his shoulders every time he walks out for bat and he given new wing for those hopes. He moved step by step to place himself so high in cricket books, where no one could have reached, we cheered for him, we shouted his name and the boy always replied with a decent smile.

Days passed, months piled up, years added in memories of we all Indians, but one place, the greatest place, was always secured for the man himself; Sachin Tendulkar. He moved into his second inning, we saw him struggling sometimes, we saw many of his co-players depart in their ways, but he was there like a rock. We saw him ageing, when he said NO to twenty-twenty, but his rising form always kept us guessing that how many more years ahead in this little ‘boy’. Yes! he always remained the same cute boy.

Today on 5th November 2009, we saw again that what he still has in him. We saw him towering 175 runs in just 141 balls with 19 fours and 4 sixes in it. We saw him showing the way to once impossible looking victory. Unfortunately, the history (Chennai, 1999) repeated itself.

That match was vs Pak at Chennai, 1999
Sachin’s score: 136 (probably his best innings to date) in the 4th innings on a vicious turner Sachin coming in at: 6 for 2. Gets worse to 82 for 5(Ganguly’s controversial dismissal). Sachin is the 7th wicket to fall at 254 with India chasing 271. A commentator pointed out an interesting statistic about this game – India made 6 runs before Sachin came to the crease and made 4 more runs after Sachin got out. So, all India could muster without Sachin was a mere 10 runs!!
Match Result: India lose

Today; Match was vs Australia at Uppal, Hyderabad, 2009
Sachin’s score: 175, I will say the best of him till date. He started the innings with Sehwag and remained on crease till 47.1 overs, chasing a target of 350 and he left on a situation requiring only 18 runs more in 17 balls, three wickets in hand, but where the man himself in age of 36 years 195 days faced 141 balls, the rest three wickets could stand only for 15 balls adding just 15 more runs. Other high scores fro the same team were 59, 38, 23 and 17.
Match Result: India lose

What more you could expect from someone who started his ODI career from18 december 1989? Almost twenty years and he still stands better than the rest. Will anyone question him again?

Love Aaj Kal: How practical we can be to handle what we call Love?

Posted on Aug 05, 2009 under Movie Review

We use all the logic to explainthings and try to be in all the way composed, controlled and logical, but theAlmighty Love remains unexplained and defines its way as “No Reason Reasoning”, no matters how much literature has beenspend on it or how much we might have learned from our experiences or other’s stories. The time has got just another more realistic expression: The discovery of Lovein present context.
Love Aaj Kal

When his girlfriend asks: “Do you love me”, Jai, the protagonist of LoveAaj Kal, played by Saif Ali Khan, replies: “Love, who knows what that is?”So, are we? Do we really know what Love is and why we fall in? Let’s readsomething about a movie, which I am going to call The Best Romantic Movie seen by me ever till now. Not because, it’s emotional, not because it’smodern, not because it’s practical, but because its real, very very real. Youwill regret, as much you delay watching the same. Mind my words, I have neverused such praise, you can check back.

Title: LoveAaj Kal
Release Date: 31st July2009
Banner: Eros International
Producer: Saif Ali Khan , DineshVijan , Sunil Lulla
Director: Imtiaz Ali
Cast: Saif Ali Khan, DeepikaPadukone, Giselle Monteiro, Shweta Gulati, Neetu Singh, Rishi Kapoor, RahulKhanna, Vir Das.
Story Writer: Imtiaz Ali
Music Director: Pritam
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

Words of mouth, disappointments ongetting All Booked Status after reaching Multiplexes (that too in Delhi, whereyou can’t find enough good hospital but Multiplexes always nearby); I was surethat Love Aaj Kal was going to bang, after all today’s stars Saif and Deepika were looking fantastic in allposters and there was no recent good movie since Dev D, I guess. Film Industry and even the movie goers should havegot a sigh of relief with this release, which is sure going to get a reasonableplace in all time good romantic movies. The special thing, I noticed was aglimpse of Jab We Met, in the song “Chor Bazari” and a little googling givenme the obvious connection, when got to know the name of writer/ director Imtiyaz Ali.

ImtiyazAli; it will be the next name after AnuragKashyap, I will be waiting for. His first movie was Socha Na Tha; A couple, who didn’t thought that they are made foreach other, the second one was Jab WeMet; discovering the commitment of love and now Love Aaj Kal.Perhaps heknows to pick the best and then get the best from them. The common link betweenall these movies was the crisp-n-short dialogues and use of bold modernlanguage mixed with traditional cultural hints still scattered between this All-New-Generation.He seems to be in process of silently creating an era like once Yash Chopracreated.

Thetwo lovely and meaningful dialogues from the movie were:
“It’s very hard to surprise someone aftertwo years.”
“Why its so that how many times, you mighthave said Bye, but it remained always a due; meeting for the last time.“

Performances:
Wecall it perfect, when we find everything matching and it was like the same. Wecouldn’t have imagined the success of movie with such refreshing music of Preetam, we couldn’t have imagined anyother smile brightening the screen than Deepika’s(really reminds me someone), Saif’sevolvement as a package, who could really take the whole movie as a Solo now witheven taking the part of younger version of Rishi Kapoor and the so beautifuland lovely new girl Giselle Monteiro (Harleen). It’s a real treat to have suchperformance on screen on friendship day.
Reminding you again, you will regretas much you delay watching it. If have watched then re-watch it and if not, then I apologize for taking your precious time in reading this article. Complete article at nitishkumar.wordpress.com

Go and watch it.

Every teenager knows about the word “Love”, to realize the things as he/ she heard about. We grew up and according to our maturity levels, we perceive the same in different manners. But sure Love is not always like we see in movies, what we read in books. Few questions always stays in front of us as to-be-answered. Sometime we pass through these questions, sometime we not.

1- What we wants from this feeling “Love”?
2-
Could we wait till we get the final one and avoid the pressure of being the “Killer”?
3-
Could we ever realize that which one is the final one?
4-
What if we never get “The one”?
5-
Is being hooked with someone for a while, whose company make you feel nice, wrong?
6-
Are we ready to take it as a lifetime contract?
8-
Is something like “Love at first sight” exists?
9-
When we really get ready to commit from innermost from our heart?
10-
Does everyone get, what they called “Love”?

“Bachna Ae Hasino” although doesn't state it in precise words, but there is a hidden note for girls, to access the state of mind as well before falling for someone, before getting hurt. But nothing to discuss about that here as that's to be accessed by viewer itself.

Bachna Ae Hasino” follows the journey of Raj Sharma (Ranbir Kapoor) from the age of 17 to 30 years. The one meets three different girls at three different stages of his life. What he learns about love with these experiences is what “Bachna Ae Hasino” all about.

Movie ends here, but still leaves lots of questions for me .....

1- Was just saying sorry and making things little nicer is enough to pay out for the couple, who lost their 12 years, which were expected to be their sweetest part of life?

2- Was just doing everything desperately to be forgiven, was enough to pay out for the girl, who given up her every desire, her everything to someone and in return, who was left lonely in the world to hear and bear everything?

3- Was just saying sorry was enough to payout for leaving the girl missing you for a total of six months

Raj was lucky to get forgiven, moreover, it was just a movie, but could anyone else be lucky like this .... one can't be. Thanks for making an effort to make boys realizing the seriousness of relationships.

Remarks:

Ranbir:
Looks enough cute for the role and it seems like this role was meant for him only.
Minisha:
Although I'll be critical over her looks, but otherwise she looked cute like any teenager.
Bipasha:
Hot as per requirements of the role. Given complete justification to the role.
Deepika:
Perfect one. She looks innocent, cute and witty at the same time. I don't think that it was easy for someone else to justify the role in this way.

Sure, I wont be calling this movie, something perfect like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Why? Probably, I wont be able to mention the same precisely, but still misses something, somewhere. But even then, I hope that this is sweet enough to find places in the heart of teens. Nice songs, nice locations and hot-n-cute pairs... what one could wish from a Bollywood Flick.
