@neethi13
Hi neethi, your shopkeeper is right. 25 ltrs is more than too much. My house is of 960 sft , have 2 bedrooms and a hall, it took about 11 ltrs for double coating (all shades put together and excluding kitchen and bathrooms).In fact some paint was leftover which i gave it to the builder.... Approx it will take 3 ltrs for a room. As ur walls are done with the putty the coverage of this paint is very good. the walls will not eat too much of ur paint. Anyways its always wise to take a second opinion. also better you change the painter bcos if he can cheat you at the first stage itself , he can do the same for every stage. once u engage a bad painter there is no looking back.u hav to do what evr he say and literally they will show u hell. Beware some painters are very cunning, they stop the work in the middle and demand unwanted things like more money/paints/etc..Better you show the walls to the painters in advance, let thm study the walls. Make a list of what all they are asking for apart from the paint like crack putty/primer/etc..
NOTE- never pay them the full amount. have a breakup of the payment.
Remember painting your new house is a very fun part...so have fun
happy painting
bye
