Happened to see DD Bharati tonight for half an hour:

1. Dilip Kumar is the anchor, in his typical style he is announcing “Agala item jo hain, wo is fil ka hain…blah blah”….
2. Lata signs in a immaculate voice and sur is unbelievable for a live concert with a very strong wind into her.
3. The whole orchestra (wadya wrund) is available there, some very famous names
4. Manoj (Bharat) Kumar is standing in the back…looks quite smart, tall, handsome in non-filmy clothes. Watching the original announcing “next item”…
5. Dilip Kumar says that “Abhi main 3 natkhat logoko bula raha hun” : (GUESS) : Pehele hain Amitaaaabh Bachchan sahaab….Shashi Kapoor and chhoti behen Raakhi.
6. They come on stage – Bachchan is larger than life – Shashi looks bossy…Rakhi is well….
7. They come on stage, promote their new film, Shashi requests Bachchan to recite some shero-shayari from the film.. (Kabhi Kabhi mere dil main khayal ata hain ke jindagi teri zulphon ki…)
8. While coming in stage they are watching Dilip K with an adulation like kids have for their elderly folks. (Unlike some sadist jokes and attempts to show so called wit in front of the legend…!!)
9. They seat in the back..with Mukry already there…they hear the song by Mukesh and Lata (Kabhi Kabhi)


You can see Shaban (22-23?) Zeenat, Yash Chopra, Rishi K and other in the audience…it is an a program on I think Shivaji Park?

Dilip Kumar again shares memory of “Ay Mere Watan ke logon” which was heard by Pandit Nehru and Zaakir Husain in person etc etc followed by Lata singing the same one with great intensity!!

Amazing stuff…The greatness has a simplicity and HUMBLEL side ALWAYS accompanying them – arrogance is an indirect agreement that you can’t get better than what you are….

I hope the so called mystique-less COMMODOTIZED, Charisma less actors(?) of today learn some $0.02 from these legends…

NOW, It was the time for the Masterstroke (for me, not him!) : I ask him, If one of his grandpa's brothers had died on a farm due to "bhau-bandaki" fights due to land etc. The land could be near or in the village that starts either from "D" (as in Dilip) or "Ch" (as in Chittagaon etc).

He was very uncomfortable with this, I told him not to share the details but just to confirm if that was the case. He did agree that it wasabsolutely correct! Looking at his discomfort, I suggested some remedies to him (Raahu's Gomed gemstone, Some Puja, Upasana and various health related Dos/Donts, Inheritance related dos/donts and not to get in any struggle for land etc from Sept 2009 to Dec 2011 when Shani will be in Kanya raashi opposite to his Shani Mangal Raahu).

He wrote them down and mentioned to me that he was completely opposed to the vary concept of astrology and thought it was stupid....I told him to continue with his beliefs and not to compromise them based on one such experience....! :) We exchanged cards and he was surprised to see "IT/Project Mgmt Angle". He said, despite being in IT you believe in this -- Again I reminded him that the laws of nature do not depend on his or my belief...! :)

He still looked a bit confused so I had to ask him -- if his mom had a miscarriage after his birth -- !!! It was the last straw! -- He requested if we could meet again and if I could explain to him how I reached all these conclusions...! :) I told him to send me an email and to take it from there.

Overall, There is a phrase in Marathi "Chamatakarashivay namaksar nasato" :) But, I suggested him that Astrology should be saved more from Astrologers than the folks who oppose it -- So his "andhashraddha wirodh" should continue as it is an imp need of the society.

Will share a few more such incidents later. Ability to do fast calculations (due to Engg background) and of course astro-LOGY from past 20 years could be a deadly combo... :)

I was happy that without any Laptop, software, panchaang or any calculator at my disposal, I was able to give many correct observations to this guy! I did tell him various others things based on Makar raashi moon in the 6th house and Sun in the 7th house direct drushti by Guru from 1st house etc etc.

I meet my friends at Deccan as it is a central place for all. I used to be @Tulsi (Chaay restaurant?) every week previously, now a days it has reduced a bit but still once a month is always there.

Well, sometime in the year of 2007, I was waiting for my friends to arrive. As usual, I bought the new AutoCar and an astrological weekly magazine for TP. A guy in mid to late 30s joins the table. He requests for the astro magazine & starts going thru it....I think of surprising the guy and after some observation, I ask him if his birth-date is from Feb 14th to March 14th...He says "yes, but how do you know!?"..

I further ask if he was born in the evening, 5 to 7 p.m. He is further amused....!! He requests me how I was able to tell this. He had an idea as he was going thru Astro magazine that belonged to me but my attire wasn't (at all) of what you expect of an Astrologer! :)

I guessed that his Sun sign prob'ly was Aquarius (Feb 14th to March 14th) and from his face/forehead, he appeared to be Leo (Sinvha) ascendant guy and hence the time of evening when Sun is descending in Kumbh and Leo/Sinvha sign is ascending he was born. (ascendant rules the face more along with Sun and Moon in that order).

I couldn't place his moon sign -- no clue -- but I felt it was Earth-Sign looking at his "Square type fingers" (ref: Palmistry). Earth signs are Vrushabh, Kanya and Makar.. ---> He indeed was of Makar raashi!! :)

NOW, He was really curious to know what was in store for him and I did give him various projections based on his Moon sign of Makar and Sun Sign of Kumbh for 2005 to 2007 -- It did match 90%!!! This didn't give ME much kick! :) I was curious, I thought the guy was from the late 1960s...So Shani in either Meen or Mesh raashi. From his Voice, I couldn't conclude if it was in Meen as voice was a bit raspy. Shani in Meen rasshi would have been 8th to him and voice would have been weaker (2nd and 8th house Shani is good for voice for girls only!) But, as there was a good possibility that Shani was in Meen raashi; I thought of checking some of his life events.

As I knew that Raahu was in Meen raashi in 68/69...I asked him if he had issues with ankles and flat feet -- and also if he hurts his feet/ankles/fingers from time to time --- He was flabbergasted -- :) :) He confirmed it indeed was the case....!!
So, Raahu and Shani in Meen raashi and that too 8th house of this guy (Mrutyu sthan, Peeda sthan). Now, it was the time to ask his birth-date and year -- The b-date added to 8!! The year made me realize that I had a friend from that period with Mangal also in Meen raashi !!!



So we have Shani -- Mangal and Raahu in 8th house of this guy and that too quite close from what I thought!!! TIME for confirmation ---!!!

I ask him if 96/97 until April 98, he had accidents and issues with ankles/feet and also issues with inherited property/land etc etc --> He was now completely DONE! -- He wasn't able to digest the proceedings...He started suspecting that I had some "ghosts" at my disposal! :) I ensured him that it was plain mathematics and PURE LOGIC (Astro).
He did confirm of various weird events (strange accidents/getting hurt etc) in this period and also issues with land/inheritance etc.

There is a great Shani -- Mangal stand-off going on right now. Mangal is in Vrushabh raashi in 17th degree and Shani is in Sinvha rashi 25th degree. Mangal is aspecting (drushti) Shani (4th drushti) and Shani is aspecting Mangal (10th Drushit).

This is going to cause a lot of traffic issues and more importantly it would have issues w.r.t accidents QUITE a bit. Do not travel in the night (avoid as far as possible) and drive carefully and take all preacautions like checking tyre pressure, brake situation etc. Drive thru water taking in to account possibility of potholes etc.

Every 1.5 day Mangal would advance by 1 degree and when it comes exactly in close aspect around August 8 :: Be VERY careful. August 8 is also a Saturday -- So DOUBLE Whammy !!! Saturday and 8th : Double Shani effect. --> ANY hurry or aggressiveness wil be dealt with very harsh response by the conditions.

So basically from today onwards until August 16 be very careful w.r.t driving.

There is something about date 28 that fascinates me from time to time.

1. Dheerubhai Ambani: 28th december
2. Ratan Tata : 28th December (Sun sign Saggi)
3. Bill Gates: 28th Oct (Sun Sign Libra)
4. Lata Mangeshkar: 28th Sept (Sun Sign Virgo)
5. Jon Stewart ("The Daily Show" Comedy Central): 28th Nov (Sun Sign Scorpio)

You would say what is common with these 28 folks? Well, there IS something VERY strikingly common out there!! Will get to that in a while.

This date 28 of course shows some of the properties of numerological 1 (2+8 = 10 = 1+0 =1)
The 1 properties are:
a. Entrepreneurship,
b. Pioneers
c. Doing something which nobody in the family did before
d. Forming / Making their own circles/spheres of influence like their ruling planet :: the SUN.

BUT there is something unique to 28:: Which is their MASS-CONNECTION. They always want to make something for masses.

1. Ratan Tata: Maybe interested in makng the fastest car, may be the bggest car etc etc but MORE THAN that he was interested in making something for the masses & hence the Nano !! So Nano owes its roots to the 28 data.

2. Bill Gates: His interest/focus was NOT towards making the fastest operating system, nor the most efficient one BUT it was to make an operating system that would be used on each and every desktop in the world.

3. Lata Mangeshkar: Was she a Pandit, Was she like someone from Kirana ghanare or was she interested inly in "Sadhana of Shastriya sangeet" like her father (to a large extent). NO, she ended up creating as sacred and as beautiful and as wonderful things but they were MADE for MASSES and not for critiques. Maybe thats a reason she liked Lakshmi-Pyare very much as they also connected to masses quite a bit. Critiques never seemed to acknowledge LP apart from some 2-3 sentences about their variety!

4. Jon Stewart: He is brilliant guy, almost a nurd type quality to him but he is spending his life time to create something for the masses.

5. Need we say anything about Dheerubhai Ambani ?? King of mass-production !! Even for RCOM his vision was mobile to every Indian !!

One thing is quite common, these are all 1:
SUN dominated, SELF-Sufficient folks and sometimes it reflects in their ways that are of a loner/staying alone etc. Somewhat aloof at times. They are quite stiff and stubborn from time to time.

The biggest problem with 28 is that they are deceived many times by their own people with the intention. Their folks become over enthu/zealots and want to help them by doing a few things that are against the law etc. Courts, friction with the law is a common thing for 28 personalities. 2 is moon and 8 is Saturn and these two combine to give 1 (the Sun) -- So you can understand how completely different things are adding to come up with something totally different.

The presence of 2 makes these people friendly, moody, people friendly. 8 makes them good with masses/workers etc. And they use these skills for 1: Entreprenuership, Starting a venture, Doing something on their own etc.

There has been much of a talk and fear about the "Kaalsarp yoga". Here are (strictly) my opinions and experience about it so far. I am not 100% expert on this though. I am sharing my exposure to it from 1991 when I started my journey in astrology.

1. As you are aware Rahu (North Node) and Ketu (South Node) are intersection points of Earth orbit around Sun and Moon's orbit around Earth.
2. These "points" span several miles and have their own mysterious effects on human life especially when some planets are in the same sign as they are.
3. Rahu and Ketu move backward (and spend 18 months in one raashi : 30degrees.) Backward in the sense from Meen to Kumbh, Kumbh to Makar and so on.

What it is Kaalsarpa yoga:
At the time of birth if all planets are on either side of Rahu and Ketu (i.e. all planets are on either side of Rahu Ketu axis in horoscope) -- It is called as Kaalsarp yoga. Even when one planets is on the other side it is not qualified as a Kaalsarp yoga. There is NO mention of it in the Sanskrit Granthas but it seems the mention of this one started sometime in the 60s.

The EFFECTS:
Popular belief: It is very unfortunate and the person doesn't get any success in life and a lot of more bad things I am not going to mention here.

AS PER MY EXPERIENCE:
There is hardly anything that can be attributed to this yoga. We take births for the sole reason that we have unpaid karma (good or bad) and we HAVE to go thru it whether we like it or not. It is our OWN actions of past live(s). So any events that happen to you are NOT seen to be due to this yoga at all.

***If you have this yoga THEN the MOST IMPORTANT question is: Whether you see snakes in your dreams with regular intervals?? (say weekly monthly etc). If and ONLY IF you see snakes then you have this Kalsarpa issue.

My observations is that out of 100 folks who have Kaal-sarpa yoga in the horoscope:: 15-20% ACTUALLY see any snakes in dreams.

THE REMEDY:
1. Start with Hanuman Sadhana as mentioned at the end of the article. This should help you get rid of the snakes in 6 -8 weeks. My experience is that for almost 75-80%of the people who see snakes this works like a magic.

2. If even after Hanumaan sadhan of 6-8 weeks you still get snakes in your dreams -- You may want to proceed with Narayan Naagbali and related rituals at Trambakeshwar (Jyotirlinga). This is seen to get rid of the snakes for once and all.

3. The BEST thing along with these two things is to DONATE money to sarpodyan and become a Sarpa-Mitra and spend time to save snakes and increase awareness about them in people so that less snakes are killed by people. This is a "good karma: which would help you get rid of any bad karma in past live(s) w.r.t. snakes.

I have kept the article as simple as possible with out any details that consufe common folks. Hanumaan sadhana is as follows, useful for everybody BUT more so when Kaalsarpa/Snakes etc are involved and also when Horoscope has Moon Ketu and Moon Raahu or any other planets with Raahu or Ketu.

Hanuman Sadhana:
a. Have a Hanuman Purnakruti poster (as aggressve/balawaan etc as possible) it should be Dakshina-mukhi (facing South).
b. Every morning after bath cocentrate on hanumaan poster for 3 - 5 minutes (eye to eye contact) NO distrubances what so ever.
c. Every evening when it starts to get dark, Hanuman stotra(Marathi) and Raam-Raksha (sanskrit).

This will help in a MAGICAL way, Can't explain ALL the effects here for the lack of time BUT it IS magical.

Numerology : Amusing Example from Real Life : Friend Circle !!

As an Astrologer I come across amusing things in life. It is a well know fact that people born on same numerological number become very good friends due to obvious harmony and synchronization of body language and approach towards life or overall "personlity" (Personality Number described in one of the blogs).

So folks born on
6, 15, 24 become very close friends.
2, 11, 20, 29 are also a group
3, 12, 21, 30 is other group and so on.
Even 2, 7, 9 are highly compatible; 6, 8 are VERY compatible, 1, 5 are so and so on.

Some obvious mismatches are: 1 and 8 ; 6 and 3; 9 & 5; 2 & 8 and so on.

In the blog about TWINS: I mentioned about this friend of mine who is born in the 75 to 76 period (his wife too) and he has TWINS. His 4 other friends born in the same period also have twins (Refer my post on Twins). Well, I was attending brithday party in August 2008 at his home where he had invited his close friends.

An Interesting scenario:
This friend let us call him AI is born on 11th June.
1. My friend introduced me to his good frined from his workplace : His birth date : 11th July.
2. They both mentioned about one more common friend of theirs who;s birth date is 11th Feb.
3. AI's wife : his batch-mate is also born on 11th Feb...Love marriage, despite Shad-Ashtak of Scoprio-Gemini, it is going perfectly fine!! They are numerological 36 Gun case! :)
4. There was a very close friend of AI's wife there (class-mate) : Her birth-date :: 29th May (2+9 = 11 which is not reduced further as 11 is a master number).
5. Did I mention that I am born on 11th April?? :)
Now, what's this for God's sake? Coincidence?? :) Well, Jayant Naralikar might call this as coincidence but we "common" people can't be THAT ignorent. :)



People who give challenges about validity of astrology need to look at such examples and try to disprove it. But anyways we need them as Astrlogers take people for a ride and we DO need such people who challenge astrologers from time to time BUT the challenges are MOST of the times as childish and as ignorent as the astrologers who say that everything is predestined (it is NOT : N - O - T !!) ---> NO FATE BUT WHAT WE MAKE :: but yes our current life's most of the issues are our own past karma but it takes a "sage" a "REAL" Guru to guide in such matters to pay that off by good-deed of equal or more value.

Till then let us marvel at such examples I mentioned above !!

Did I tell you that my closest friend from last 18 years is born on 29th April and he has at least 5 friends born on 11th! :) (One common friend of both of us born on 11th Feb!!)

One more: There are 5 of us everyday at Chaay-Tapari for the tea-brake: Two born on 2nd; myself 11, 1 more on 29th and one on 20th !! Ab bolo! :)

1. Basically the Axis of the Earth also rotates in a gigantic circle and takes 84600 years to complete the rotation. (It is called as "Paranchan Gati" of the Axis).
2. Due to this movement of the axis, every 72 years, the Equinox moves 1 degree farther -- Called as "Procession of Equinox"
3. So every 72 years the Sun Sign Calnder needs a movement of 1 day ahead.
4. That is why Makar-Sankranti was celebrated in India on 14th of Jan in last century and now slowly becoming 15th of Jan.

Ancient Vedic astrologyis based on the sidereal or visible zodiac, accounting for the shift of the equinoxes by a correction called ay
anamsa. The difference between the Vedic and the Western zodiacs is currently around 24 degrees. This corresponds to a separation of c. 1700 years, when the vernal equinox was approximately at the center of the constellation Pisces and the tropical zodiac coincided with the sidereal one (around 285 AD according to N C Lahiri). The separation is believed to have taken place in the centuries following Ptolemy, apparently going back to Indo-Greek transmission of the system. But earlier Greek astronomers like Eudoxus spoke of vernal equinox at 15° in Aries, while later Greeks spoke of vernal equinox at 8° and then 0° in Aries (cf. p.16, S. Jim Tester in ref.), which suggests use of sidereal zodiac in Greece before Ptolemy and Hipparchus. The ayanamsa correction has always been made in Vedic astrology, whose existence spans around thousands of years.

[E] Examples of Saadesati or Shani’s Bhraman from Sports and Politics and movies:
1. Amitabh Bachchan (Tula rashi) was #1 to #10 when Saturn last time was in Cancer and Leo sign (9th, 10th and 11th to his Moon sign :: from June 1973 to 1980 end. He is having similar period from May 2005 to Sept 2009. Especially, from July 2007 to Sept 2009, there could be mass-hysteria, making contemporaries look like chicken.
a. From 1981, his Sadesati started and initial 2.5 years were very bad for him as he has 5 planets in Kanya rashi. i.e for him Sadesati was much more troublesome as multiple planets were before the moon & that too in 8th house of horoscope (peeda-sthan, mrutyu-sthan). i.e. 12th from Moon and 8th from 1st house of horoscope (ascendant--lagnarashi)
b. What happened in 1981 is VERY well known. When Saturn was close to Mars and Sun, he suffered a great accident. (Kanya raashi shows stomach.)
c. His Sadesati continued until end of 1987. His politics tenure happened completely in Sadesati and you are well aware of the problems he faced in Sadesati.

2. Dhirubhai Ambani is moon-sun and ascendant Dhanu raashi. When Shani was 10th and 11th from 1981 to Middle 1985, he used his money and political power a lot and was able to get almost anything done! He entered Sadesati from 1985 to 1992! ?
a. First 2.5: From Oct 1985 entered Sadesati. First 2.5 years must have been all badanami, court-baaji, police inquiries due to 12th Shani. V.P. Singh was troubling him a lot.
b. Middle 2.5: Health-wise almost a hell as Shani going over Moon, Sun and lagnarashi. Also a lot of issues from Govt (V.P Singh had become the PM, whom Dhirubhai had allegedly removed from finance ministry using Amitabh’s contact??)
c. Rest 2.5: A bit better and regrouping of business and also recuperation on health front.
3. Sachin Tendulkar: From May 2005, Saturn is exactly opposite to Sachin Tendulkar’s Mars. Mars shows sports, running apart from other things. Especially, from last Oct 2006 until end of July 2007, Sachin was going thru a very rough patch of Saturn, as it was aspecting his Mars in close degrees (Pratiyog). (With this logic he would have the best year in 2009 as Guru would be traveling over Mars at that time)
4. Imran Khan born on Nov 25th has Sun in Scorpio. From Oct 1985 to 1987 end Saturn was traveling over his Sun and hurt his ego by having a bitter / unexpected (?) defeat in the Semifinals of the 1987 Reliance World-Cup.
5. The famous “Prince” episode in 2006: Saturn was in cancer sign and opposite to prince’s Sun (14th Aug b-date?). Cancer sign shows gatare, bhuyare. Small rivers etc. Similarly even from last week Saturn is again in last charan (Ashlesha) of cancer, yesterday Jun 17th (Saturn’s date: 8), one 5 year old kid went in a boar-well. (read eSakal), Even Sachin got a flue two days back.
6. From Mid year 1990 to Jan 1993, Saturn was in Makar rashi. Sena SupremoBalasaheb Thackeray’s sun sign (23rd Jan) is Makar. During this time his ego was hurt when Chhagan Bhujbal parted ways along with some 16/17 MLAs. (Actually, it was a very good thing to happen in long term as except for Bhujbal saheb, everybody else was former Congress/Congress-S person, so not Sena-man anyways).
7. Similarly, from May 2005 to July 2007m Saturn is in Cancer and going over Uddhav Thackeray’s Sun Sign Cancer: B-date 27th July). During this time his ego was also hurt and Narayan Rane parted ways from Sena. I am 100% sure that is a very good thing in the long run. As Uddhav’s moon sign is also Leo (Sadesati), the impact is doubled for him. (Also, this Saturn is in direct pratiyog with Balasaheb’s Sun Sign too.)
8. Vilasrao Deshmukh (born from May 14th to June 14h: May 26th??), lost his CM position the 1st time when Saturn was in Vrushabh sign. Saturn was going over his Sun Sign. (From 2000 end to March 2003).
9. Most of the calamities (Tsunami, Stock Market crash, Mumbai Flood) usually happen on saturn’s date i.e. 8, 17 or 26.
10. Dilip Kumar goes into oblivion every time Sinvha rashi is under Sadesati.
11. Sanjay Dutt is moon sign Vrushabh had was under Sadesati from Apr 1998 to May 2005. From May 2005 to July 2007, Saturn is going over his Sun Sign. (Born on July 29th)
12. Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Anil Kapoor, Lakshmikant Berde all are Aries Moon sign (Mesh). Saturn was 10th and 11th to Mesh rashi from 1991 start to Feb 1996. From March 1996, Saturn went 12th and these all were seen on the wane. They all were under microscope and suffered several losses until 2002 end.
