What you've posted is all that we've read in newspapers and seen on TVs. What you forgot to write was the how and why Taliban was created and who created it. Probably you can google that.
What Taliban preaches is radical Islam, which Muslims do not. 'Jihad' means a struggle, a struggle to fight w...ith the evil inside. A struggle that makes you a better person. Quran talks about peace and love. Its only the corrupt leaders who use Jihad as a means of war in their bid to instigate the naive youngsters. That's their interpretation to recruit militants.
Do you realise how terrorized the country itself would be because of Taliban? You can also check for pictures of Afghanistan before Soviet Union invaded or Taliban intervention or US bombings.
