I enjoy pain. There is no other explanation for why I put myself through a daily diet of watching excruciatingly mind numbing movies, even though I know what im getting in for. Over the past 3 years, I've watched a Who's Who of Razzie award listers (Aap Ka Surroor, RGV Ki Aag, Tashan, Love Story...Read more

Hello,
I liked the review and the rating is for the same...however I must disagree as I went to see a laugh riot and wasnt disappointed... I honestly dont enjoy movies which thinks that viewers are completely brain dead morons...note, I am a BIG comic book buff, but even those outlandish concepts... treat the audience with some respect (iron-man & the dark knight being two relevant examples), they dont go around like this stud who has 1000 bullets fired at him, some from point blank range, out of which only 1 hits...I hope that you would RRC on my upcoming review on the same (hopefully by tomorrow) as I would be better placed to explain my points better....
I enjoyed the review (as always) however, and will continue to be a frequent reader :)
Keep them coming.
Take care

Dear Jitendra,
Good. Im first! at least I have some face now :)
Good review, although I think you praised the movie a lot more than it desrved IMHO... having seen primal fear prior to it, I found that while well-acted, it didnt stack up to the original...plus the entire obsession with urmila ang...le was very redundant...it would have been really great if they had stuck to making a remake of primal fear as tht would have been a different direction..unfortunately such a different move wouldve definitely harmed the commercial prospects of the movie as we like traditional 'good over evil' endings :-)
Great review nonetheless,
Do keep writing, as always a pleasure.
Take care

Hello,
First of all, my apologies for the late viewing, I had been off MS for a while..
I concur with most of your views and definitely agree that poverty, ambition for a better future & exploitation of the same is more the reason than loose morals shown here...unfortunately realism just means b...itter and senstionalist cinema these days...fact is all they do is enforce stereotypes which we have been conditioned into believing anyway... Do keep writing, it was a pleasure to read this.
Take care

(Apologies, MS not letting me post)
Conclusively a good addition to disaster movies, this one scores points for the relevant storyline, cinematography and performances. One wishes though that it was a bit shorter and that the apocalypse genre be given a break for a while. Only so much gloom and im...pending doom can be effective before it becomes caricature.
Please do let me know of your opinions & feedback, both positive & negative equally welcome.
Till next time
Faraz

Hollywood loves Armageddon. There have been several movies (most recently the pedestrian 2012) which have explored the possibilities of a life post Judgment Day as it were. The following are a common thread of plot devices in every such cinematic outing:

Aruna: Coming from you, I will take that as high praise!! :)
I dont enjoy K.J. brand of cinema at all, if anything I feel that they are the reasons SRK's known more as a star than an actor.. Definitely though, the intention and message was honorable in this movie and that deserves plaudits..Unfort...unately I havent checked out Khuda Kay Liye but have only heard praise, will do so soon..
Thans again, and hope to hear from you in the future too

Hey there, long time...as i suspected ur writing still rocks..
I agree with your views, i personally thought the second half should have less, and that the movie should have been 2 hours...but definitely the performances bring it up several notches....
Great to read your work again, would apprec...iate your rrc on my review too.
Keep writing.
Take care

Hey there,
I see your point, however the timeline and dates have been mentioned throughout the movie. the movie is set in 2007 and continues up until 2008, just as obama is elected.
It would be better if you expanded on your views and in a proper format, im sure it would be a much better read th...en.
Keep writing
