Definitely the music by AR Rehman cannnot be ignored...it very well deserves attention!... The point was he has given better scores, and if this gains attention, the others deserve as well. Nevertheless, the appreciation and recognition is great!

well..Mac donald's the world over has standard fare, but also is operated on franchise basis!...So, the potatoes and cutting would be standard, but not the employee efficiency and attitude..definitely the worst!..May be you should try other outlets... ok!..guess you know well... but i would still call it distasteful and crude... coz the mentality is very typical... And of the finances, 30 good costume changes instead of 137 amateur ones would have been absolutly great!.. nothing is an excuse for mediocracy and money is never a restriction, its m...ore about a large vision to make films...which sadly is a talent which only a select have! N infact I had negative expectations, right since I saw the horrendous hoarding of Priyanka chopra, with sunglasses n a chain hanging from her mouth...hideous!...The movie was better definitely! yeah..me as well..that would be polish and power...and in fashion, ignoring the fact that it is named 'fashion', since the ramp walks also occupied 3/4th the running time of the movie and it not being a low budget film..i would've expected better than the half-baked attempt- the story of the model's... voes is fine- but it would've been nice to see a truely wholesome picture and not just after hours-too many cliche's one after the other...n too crude, that word just repeats in my mind! Infact!!...now that i come to think of it...ah yes!...he has seen the movie too and tried to incorporate a few things!...the last scene where meryll streep orders her driver..go! and when andy wakes up in paris n gathers herself n leaves...what I like there, is the real picture-non-cliche', plain and straight. Here women have to go thru pain, to be called power performers! it would've been nice to see her start smoking very casually at parties just coz you r so surrounded by it..and not make her wait to break up and treat the poor lil' girl fetch a cigratte out of the blue and start! Also, models are shown sipping wine backstage like they are gulping down from bacardi bottles?!...I dont like the sensationalism in it...too typical a mindset! A refreshing and real take would've been nice- instead of full-of-voes and justifying them. now, thats a large comment!Read More

That's no offense, n no question of anyone being right or wrong anyways... it's a movie expressing a viewpoint - I do not digest the way it is expressed- for me it lacks finesse. Devil wears prada was what i meant, but ofcourse, it may not find takers as it is not raw- real.

I agree with your last point- it's high time we get to see 'real' balanced women and not highly typical typecast characters. The reason the movie didn't go down well with me was the portrayal of women, mockery of designers, all gay people being the comic characters - way too typical and irresponsi...ble an outlook. well......I’m sure then that you would’ve watched DWP, it talks about superficiality as well, but with much restrain and polish. I havn’t denied anything is false in the movie, but when you use a medium of expression, there is a way, and crude is not my taste-that’s about it. I’m sure it must be a... good film, since it’s striking a chord with many-not me. Rock On

I was purposely browsing for not-so-good reviews of rock-on!...but all these 1-2 star reviews just don't state reason enough for dislike- strange!! As far as I can understand the movie won't be appreciated in non-urban areas and people who have absolutely no touch with contemporary India.
