@chi_239...the moral of the story is 99labels thinks they only need to take the money and have no committment to delivering what their site promises to. They just give online shopping a bad name. Fortunately since I'm not a first time online shopper, I know that THEY are the bad eggs. Sites like the...m terrify first time online shoppers even more. I hope to take this to consumer court if they do not either give me the product or money in 2 weeks time. Interestingly they responded to an aggreived tweet I sent out publicly that was not addressed to them.....even before they responded to the mail I sent to their customer support dept. in response to the mail I posted here. They seem to be spending more time marketing and guarding their image - rather than looking after the quality of their products or service....certainly not a sustainable business model. They'd either go bust or get shut down for fraud before that!!Read More

@ravisant: This is NOT a comparitive review. Other service providers being better or worse does not condone Reliance for providing sub standard service AND support!....usually when one buys a product it is with the expectation of getting what one is buying. Glitches once in a while in service may be... fine....not for many months on end....and THEN being told that they cannot commit to WHEN the problem may be fixed....which essentially means it may never be fixed. I have other services from Vodafone and Tata - while I won't say they are perfect, at least in the experiences I've had with them they haven't LIED about what their service can or not provide. If Reliance had sold me a 1x datacard with a data plan that matches what that is capable of - I'd have been a perfectly satisfied customer!Read More

Thanks for the recco gaggz. I got myself a Honda Civic - VTec. Living 'happily ever after' as of not, except for this clutch prob I seem to have when picking up the car from first gear. But then the relationship is quite new - not yet a year.

Hi Esteem, Stop looking for Accent CRDi reviews. They have been taken out of circulation. Mileage is great. But maintenance is a bummer after the first 3 years if you are a medium to heavy user. And I discovered a tad too late that Hyundai has a reputation of making more money from changing ALL t...he possible spare parts that they can fool you into believing need to be replaced. At the end of 4 years and almost a lakh kms, I shelled out Rs.1.25 lakhs to get the car back from the 'dead' - they claimed engine seizure (I have my own opinions on the subject) and 2 months in the garage (during which I had to spend on renting a replacement car). I sold it immediately as it got out of the garage for 3.3 lakhs - as the original problem did not seem fully resolved. So net resale value was about 2 lakhs. I bought a Civic sometime last year - so far so good. Smooth ride, good mileage, comfortable. More when the car is about a couple of years old - so I can put up a real user reviewRead More

Hi Jodi, Thanks for the detailed comment. I certainly can't profess the same level of knowledge about SF and glad that you have put this up to balance my review. Mine of course is based on immediate impressions of a primarily business traveler and a motley bunch of comments from my local colleagu...es there (not all of who are originally local to CA). I'm back there next month - but on a disappointingly tight schedule! I didn't stay in a 4 star this time as the closest walk from work that was available was a 3 star. But I have stayed in 4 stars in the US before and none of them seem to offer a 24 hr service (and local admin staff confirmed that that's tough thing to expect in hotels in the US. So I was going by that too, other than my own experience). About safety, I guess its what you feel. I had some nasty bumps in SF, while none whatsoever whenever I've been to other cities in the US. But then again I stayed in SF close to Union Square, which may have deepened that impression. But seriously I can see where you are coming from. I certainly wouldn't want anyone to take away negative impressions about my city or state! Try criticising Mumbai - which is where I put up :)Read More

About the shopping bit....if you are a bargain basement kind of shopper...look out for Ross on Marketstreet. Its a huge mall with all kinds of clothes, luggage and accessories at the most amazing prices. Not the designer wear kind of stuff of loads of cool. If looking for a slightly upmarket bargain.....Loemann's off Grants Avenue it is!...Ross and Loehmanns are walking distance from each other.Read More

It's a beautiful and compact city with a some far flung suburbs. Most of the commercial district is around Union Square – offices, shopping et al.
