Earlier I too used to watch this serial devotedly cos I liked the old sujal but boycottted it the day Kashish fell in love with the so - called tushar.
how many times does this woman fall in love. The excuse that he is actually sujal and this is their true love is very feeble. She seems a total lad...y casanova!

Agree with you completely! The serial is realistic, gripping and very well made.
Performances are excellent of course, and my personal favourites are Rajeev Khandelwal and Kay Kay Menon.
A very pleasing review!

All I can say about your review is that you have penned each and every thought of yours crystal clear!! 'Matrubhumi' definitely is a film well made. It is a look into the future we are leading ourselves into. That is if you hate the film, you also hate this dark future.

This show is diff. from other shows coz it is based on classical music, the judges are not any Javed Akhtar or Farah Khan, but judges like Pt. jasraj. Besides the object here is to find a classical singer who can ALSO sing in films. This is a music show and not a glamour show, it is much more tough ...and I find it relly good.
But your idea of Engineers , DR.s etc is nice, but we do have exams for that, don't we???Read More

Complete crap! Kashish has got engaged for god knows how many times. And this plastic surgery thing is ridiculous.
The former Sujal was just to charming. He rocks in Time Bomb on Zee. But this Tushar seems a total ZombiE and doesn't know how to emote, in my opinion. He is completely copying Rajeev... Khandelwal's style where dressing and acting are concerned. Plus performing the same scenes again and again.
The show has really gone down. A lovely love story gone into shreds thanks to Kekta Mai.

The twist in the tale was very stale. They are making it like the Mandira- Mihir story. And Gurpreet Singh, the new Sujal is ... (###???###) forget it. He looks like some tapori.
If only Rajeev was there. But thank god, he left this silly plot for a better serial.

I'll tel you why this serial worked till now. Its bcoz of a sweet boy with melting eyes who kept you awake till 11.30 pm. (Yes its Rajeev Khandelwal). Well, the truth is actually that SRK has won 10 or 11 (sorry not sure of the no., Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was 8th) awards, but not all of them are for best actor, some are for negative and critics also.

You've just struck the right chord!
A lot of people say that SRK does the same type of roles and has an irritating way of acting, but that's just the way people love him!
Loved your review, my favourite SRK films are KHNH, K3G, DDLJ, Swades and K2H2.

Wow! You've summarised the whole story so well. Cool!
I too think, the story has got a bit boring, the suspense was not dealt with properly.
And showing them both in Tokyo, seems silly now, for them to be holidaying when Sujal knows he is accused of a murder.
Anyway that was a nice review.

I mentioned in it that my views on it will not change even if Ekta does not show the absurdities as mentioned in the review and Rajeev comes back.
Well, so it is! Ekta's got some sense (at last!), the script has been changed, for what I know,... there's no rape coming up. And yes, Rajeev has been called back and is continuing this serial.
But thanks to all this, we really got to know each other's views on what we think about how tackily Ekta handles such sensitive issues such as rape. I think that she is mixing pure entertainment with sociology, in each of her serials, making it a 'bhel puri' that doesn't seem good.
If she's so interested for womanly welfare, she'd better make a documentary(like Rajeev!)

Well, I'm replying to your mail here, coz I couldn't M2M you. This is in context to my review on Kahin To Hoga 'Rajeev is right in quitting KTH'.
Well, the rape scene which was supposedly there has been cancelled, as Rajeev was quitting KTH b'coz of it. Ekta felt that no actor ...could match his intense performance, coupled with his popularity. So the script has been changed finally! There's no rape coming up. There's one thing wrong here. Rajeev had quit this serial but Ekta called him back, changed the script to remove the trash in it, and now he won't quit. For more information, refer to the article, 'Rajeev is right in quitting KTH'

Frankly speaking, as far as I think, KBC's sheen will decrease as after it, many game shows came and went, but none was too good. But I can't vouch on that. People want different entertainment.
There were actually two other crorepatis- a small boy in the Junior Crorepati, and a husband anf wife fro...m Rourkela in the couple section. (don't remember the names).

Well, I can't believe you made Sujal the villain and Piyush the hero, whereas I think Sujal is the hero and Piyush was only a supporting actor. Besides, I believe there is nothing wrong in whatever Sujal did, Piyush and Kashish treated him very badly, its very natural to be angry.
