It only took some catching up with your reviews for me to realise why I am still on MS LOL Nice review, though I never thought SRK's role in HTHS was meant to be clownish. Now that you have given this new hue to viewing his over-the-top but well-felt performance, maybe yea, he did it quite well. ...No, we absolutely differ on Dil Se, Dil To Pagal Hai and Asoka but then dats okay. Of late, SRK has turned horribly farcical and his performances in KHNH, Chalte Chalte and MHN have an unshruggable put-up tone to them... he isn't anymore in my list of liked actors... but this analysis made for a good read for sure. SRK rocked, but not now. Keep them coming yaar, Karann.Read More

I am not as tiltillated by cricket of late... but yea, despite his recent glaring inconsistencies, Tendulkar is good. Was kinda dizzy on reading this epic eulogy of a review but your fanship for the little master definitely shines through. Lots of congrats on striking a centurion here... to ...me your century is MS's rare unfrivolous century. The pleasure to read your reviews is absoluetly mine. Keep such excellent work coming... Now, now, if only MS would take the abundant advice given here and in fact on every review under this category a trifle more seriously. I personally find the SORT technology unnecessarily hideous with the algorithm more concerned with the no. of hits on reviews. And lets not get me started with ...the updation of the rest of the community center! If only wishes could be... Neways, 101th review! Wow! Keep such stuff rolling in... KarannRead More

Too good mannnnn!!!! Thankfully(?!!), my family sticks with Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii instead of this one (all dhanyawaads to a time-clash), and though I can't guarantee if KGGK is more frustrating, it can very well rival PKG. Just remember some one silly episode I accidently stumbled over during new ye...ar's where Mr.Nath was hanging himself.. and mannn that was achingly, scorchingly comic!! But of course neither do I possess the machoism to watch these nor the sheer ability to convert my masochistic endeavours to such ROFL pieces of writing. Gr8 work done! Now how about some bashing of Lavanya, Kittie Party, Mansha, lipstick now that you have come back LOL. Shanti, Karann. Read More

Of course you deserve a pat on the back buddy for such an articulate review on a dictionary.. whoa! Yea, Oxford indeed is the benchmark. Knew this one was going to be just that bit different :) I love these small films, not only coz they are so focussed on what they want to convey, but also because they seldom make it to overseas (making me treasure them whenever I can have my hand on one of them)! It'll be months b4 I actually se...e this one, but such a brilliant recco from you means its on a high priority list. With Vijay Raaz now around for close to 4 years, I find his appearance much more digestible than b4 (Remember Aks? LOL). Keep writing.. Shanti, Karann. Read More

Okay okay... let's throw out the credibility of the plot. Other than that, even I thot, Yuva was innovatively told, ruggedly shot and had its moments! Et tu Damo! Keep writing yaar...a very consummate review! Shanti, Karann.

The moment I heard Pyaar Mein Sau Uljhanen Hain and I realised that SEL are back! Frankly speaking, their politically correct KHNH and Lakshya were too run-of-the-mill and never really impressed me! I am sure this is one worthy successor to Armaan, Mission Kashmir and DCH... hv to catch up with t...his one now that it comes so strongly recommended from you. Very articulate and so very genuinely musical music review yaar! Shall be more fun to read once I get some repeated listenings of the tracks! Gr8 work.. Shanti, Karann.Read More

Cool review there Kalil. Coincidentally enough, I just bought a Digimax 320 two months back, and have been quite satisfied with the camera. Probably the only difference between 300 and 320 is an additional 4x optical zoom which is a real boon and evens out a con mentioned here! Images taken are abs.... brilliant. But that said, the software accompanying the camera sux and so does the fact that the computer doesn't recognise the camera as an imaging device (smthing that I thot was such a plus with my older Kodak digicam) but as a storage disk... duh! So we have another die-hard Bolly-buff at MS, eh!! Of course I'll be understating grossly if I just said ur review was 'fantastic'. What a brilliant way to scoop out the choicest ROFL moments... and yes, all of them are legends. U haven't left much scope for addition, though Anil-Madhuri (Khel, ...Pukar), Juhi-Shahrukh pairs also gave us some timeless stuff. And so did Sridevi (Chalbaaz, Judaai etc etc). Wow! whatta review buddy! Tell you what... submit all that advice to a hot Indian woman's mag (Femina, Savvy, Cosmo etc etc) and I can bet my last penny.. its gonna be a best-seller LOL Some exquisite advice there! Yea, I keep saying this... when it comes to stupidity and entertainment, nothing c...an and will surpass Judaai. What timeless slapstick comedy and Sridevi is an absolute riot! Luved the review... too good! Keep inking.. Shanti, Karann.Read More

Thanx a zillion to all who read, rated and commented! Hi Kalil: You haven't heard abt it.. quite strange considering its right on the top of all bestseller lists (US, UK, Canada, Spain etal) for months now! You won't be disappointed.. catch up with it! Hi Rama: ROFL stuff... what fantastic obs...ervation. Took me more than 5 mins to find out that error... strange games these eyes play LOL. But of course a 'con' encouraging someone to read this one was quite unintentional! Hi Damo: Yea, maybe Holden was more of a teenage-narrator. But a 17-year old can be classified as a child, isn't it? Err... Umm... what the heck, child or teenager.. that book sucked sucked and u guessed it, sucked! Hi Samir: Catch up with this one bro.. the brain twisters shall keep u occupied for a good amount of time LOL. Hi Saurabh: Can't agree more with you... even though the book has been screaming at me from the book-shelves for months now, only now I gathered the courage to read a seemingly 'childish' book LOL Its written for the teenagers anyway, but there's a lot of freshness for readers to memorise. And that's what makes it a tad more special. Hi Suyog: The vocab-quotient automatically plumetted coz the book's too simple and too absolved to go into a word-play frenzy LOL. Keep commenting... Myself had touched the book a year ago, and I still maintain that if you don't know the innards of violin or piano playing (in short, if you are an absolute novice to the world of music creation), you can't get to the soul of the book. Seemed quite good in teh first 50 pages but then had to put i...t down for abs. lack of understanding. The day I'll learn to play a violin... I'll read this one! Karann.Read More

Easily one of the best reviews on probably the best Indian news portal. Rediff is like breakfast for me.. just can't do without it. I think, its Movies, News and Politics section are exceptional... both in content and in updation. Yea, there are some columnists who are a pain in the u-know-where. An...d yea, you can't ignore their dismal shopping division (do they actually have one in real world? LOL) But what the heck... the 1GB Rediffmail is gonna show who the boss is. All prospective GMail users can of course taste some lizard meat ROFL Did I tell you how much i admire the exquisite political correctness and research and formatting that goes into each of ur reviews! Would just advise to truncate ur titles a bit... otherwise rocking review! Cheers! Karann.Read More

Amongst a host of them, probably the most efficient or shall I say the most salutary asset of “The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night Time” is its spotless, pure and a sickeningly cute narrator’s voice. Me being me, wouldn’t have cared two hoots to type the whole bo...Read more

I am pleasantly surprised to actually receive any comments at all, when I myself have cut down on my RRC completely! Thanx a lot everyone.. your words do mean a lot! Lyla: Thanx and do catch up with the book for some kicks! Samir: Whoa! Thanx bro... for making me blush with self-importance (li...ke ur comments always do!)... shall try to RRC all the excellent work I have missed over the past months soon! Hi Rama: Yea... strange no, I never ever do a detailed plot, but maybe being a medical thriller, this was so deeply etched that couldn't help typing away LOL. You've watched Lakshya and still no review! This ain't happenin LOL Its been quite some time since I wrote anything on Bollywood, so yea, must and shud pen a review on Lakshya (dats provided I catch up with the film soon!)... Thanx for the boost though! Hi Kalil: Catch up with this ASAP for some entertainment... but of course, keep a med lexicon handy! Hi Suyo: You read the review na... more than enuff LOL... and yes, I just went to your site and mannnn am I amazed or am I amazed! U rock! Waiting for your next! I had picked up this one last year off the shelves and found it absolutely awful in parts. I mean why the Devgans and Bhujbal are given more than half the pages is simply beyond me. And Virani's inconsistent language makes this book a pain in the neck mann!! Realism is one thing and exagerration is ...another and the author's writing keeps swaying to both these adjectives. But of course, the flash in the pan was Mazgaon... though the day I'll decipher what more than 50% of the content had to do with the title I'll write a review.. but gud review there! Your review had the punch that the book missed, or so I feel! Keep writing! Shanti, Karann. Read More
