Hahaha Farookh, top class review. Specially the S & W part and also that Sana Khan's fantasies -too funny. Well, their kindda people are ready to sell anything to make money. This is what sells in their opinion these days. Keep 'em coming, Joys, Kalyani

Hairat se tak raha hai jahan-e-wafa mujhe Part II

Mar 30, 2008 10:50 PM

Nopes! Its same composition and Sagar Sahab's name is written on this record as its composer too. So probably you are right as my dad too never mentioned about Sagar Sahaab composing them. Amarnath, do u mean by classical singer Pandit Amarnathji? I know, just get less time these days though I lov...e ur writings, be it ur diary or the review, I somehow try to manage the topic that is very close to my heart. Could not resist myself when I saw u writing about MM. HAha, I know, its really uncertain when what might go outta fashion these days!?! I still havn't transferred as I got it on the net so saved them on the hard disk. That is one reason i still am keeping our LP record player. Keep writing such posts and I will keep commenting. Hairat se tak raha hai jahan-e-wafa mujhe Part II

Mar 30, 2008 09:55 PM

What a post!?! Farookh what a lovely post. And I too love everything about this little prodigy. My father too adored him like anything & I still have his LP record kept so very carefully by my dad though at places it is spoiled. I keep them as antique pieces and listen to it very often. It is the re...cord my dad bought soon after it was released by Angel Records, published in 1967 for the first time. Its much much smaller in size. And I still rem'ber how my dad got angry with the people who poisoned this genius. No doubt why the whole world looked at him with so much curiosity - hairat se tak raha hai jahan-e-wafa mujhe. He is true little wonder of this land. One more thing, Sagar Nizami Sahab has not only written the lyrics but also composed both the ghazals. Keep 'em coming. Joys, KalyaniRead More

You know Farookh, those days most of our child artists and heroines were victimized due to poverty or in search of true love. Its sad tho', u look at baby naaz nd few more, same was with sulochana, nirupa roy who was forced by her hubby dear to encash her womanhood. There were very few like Asha, Sa...ira or Sharmila who had joined the industry willingly i suppose. Nd i think meena kumari nd madhu bala both had the most sad life. God Bless Their Souls, they both are my fav's. keep writing, KalyRead More

Hi Farookh, Completely Divine, soul-stirring review. As you have put in your comment's section Madhubala is still ALIVE, people like her might die physically but they r always alive in our hearts. Her father was heartless person. Her illness was very much visible while she was shooting for Mughal-...E-Azam. Its so sad that we have lost her at such an young age but then God also needs Good people, right!?! Great review. KalyaniRead More

Yeah Ava, a big part of it was shot in Khajjiar. I was, yes, part of it, but while editing to make it shorter, my shoots were chopped off. (me-sobbing like a child, just joking, my part was edited as Vishal is my bro'-in-law and he nd my sis' said i should not mind 'coz they need to make it shorter,... so i didn't, hard luck though, but its all part of life). And you know, while shooting in this village, the houses were in very bad shape as the people there had no finances to renovate their houses, with their permission, Vishal got people and the material to renovate their houses and all of them were so happy to see their houses done so well. Only after the renovations were over that the shooting began in the village. such small small things only make a person so much closer to everybody's heart. Let coming same brilliant reviews. I will always try to find time for RRCing good ones. Love, KalyaniRead More

Very nice review AvaJi. I am from those lucky ones, who could go to Dalhousie for the shooting of BU. And you are so right, I don't know why people die to visit Switzerland. After being in Dalhousie and Khajjiar, I never wanted to come back to Delhi. And your review is very well written without... disclosing the ending. I loved the movie too. Brilliant write-up. Now, i too am curious to watch this movie as i still haven't got the golden opportunity. The Legends like HrishiDa' will remain alive in the hearts of His audiences even though he has left this birth, I adore his movies like Satyakaam, Anupama and the rest, be it comedy or meanin...gful cinema. Your passion for his movies is evident in the review. Do keep me informed about such reviews from u. Will surely find time to RRC the brilliant pieces like this one. Keep 'em coming. Well, liked your Analytical review, and i feel by now most of the readers must be familiar with the story, personally i love each and every work of Shakespeare, Othello was no exception. Vishal has given us a Masterpiece instead but feel sorry as among all KHANS, Bhansaalis, Bhandarkars, Vermas he... might not stand anywhere near Oscars or our very own Phillum PhaIR awards. To be truthful, he believes in GIVING nd not buying the awards, so for HIM, the BEST AWARDS are from the audiences like you. Keep appreciating good works, Love and much joys, Kalyaanii.Read More

to MouthShut, well, if its ur 1st review, i must congratulate u for writing such a super review. If Vishal is a discovery for u on screen, u r the same on MS. Yes, Omkara is just a Masterpiece that bollywood doesn't get often, as u say audiences here (masses) do not have gr8 taste for such movie...s but people like us are always there to appreciate such works and that is sufficient for Talents like Vishal. Keep 'em coming more often, Love and joys, Kalyaanii.Read More

you are still a little kid or yet to grow up to watch such realistic movies. THough its clear after you give 5 stars to Krrish kindda movies you can take to your stride. Better grow up man, why deny the facts when your own sister, mother face the same lang' everyday while they go out by your own fel...low men, dare to accept the truth, nothing wrong there with the film. Things are wrong with your thinking man, you need to grow up by now. Well, thats what I think, movie is gr888888888, very original, and yeah one more advice, do read Shakespeare in original, you will find out the truth about the language he uses. Although, i am not sure you would understand his lang', probably not. After all for that one needs to be a grown up. Be Blessed!Read More

Excellent review there. Yes the music may not be that hit with the masses but it will surely remain with the people who love sweet, melodious music with good lyrics. Joys, Kalyaanii.

If someone asks me the Best review on Maqbool, then nothing can compare with that of yours. Awesome review, and yes just wait for Omkara, now titled 'Issak' (as villagers pronounce 's' instead of 'sh' in Ishk). It also has great casting. They are right now going to Cannes FIlm Fest' this mont...h with this movie and hopefully it would be released by July-Aug'. Do keep writing such brilliant stuff. Joyfully, Kalyaanii.Read More

review Farookh. You are so very right about NargisJi's performance. I would like to add one more artist from the movie-remember the child artist who has played the role of Birju????? i wonder where that child is these days and if he ever acted in films when he grew up? As a child his performance... is a treat to watch, he was true to his character-complete 'Bekhauff' while delivering the dialogues, sooo natural. The Best review so far. review as usual Sanjeev. There were things i was unaware of. MadanJi is my fav' Music Director. Its sad tho, these days his own son refuses to call himself MadanJi's son just 'coz he was stubborn nd truthful person yet he is selling his father's music and keep going. MadanJi has been very unlu...cky as he never got the due he was supposed to 'coz of his being an honest person. People started recognising his talent for music more after his death. Thank you for posting such an informative review. let them comin' more often. smile, kalyani.Read More
