I have had my Mercedes Benz C180 for 2 years now. It is a 1996 Classic (Basic Model) Automatic. It is a dream to drive and in gleaming black. In the 2 years that I have had it it has been almost maintenance free but there are a few common problems with the older C180's as I will detail here. ...Read more

Yes Krissy you are right Legolas is the son of King Thranduil as as such is a Sindar Prince. He forms one of the many links between the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings series. I always make an effort to read all 4 books at least once a year as they are a great way of escaping the mundane madnes...Read more

Hi there, I stayed at the Log Cabin last year during the monsoon season so it was very quiet. Other bars that I went in were 2Pac on the main road just down from the log cabin towards the market and The Shamrock. Both these tended to be busier than the Log Cabin but no less enjoyable. The lads that ...work behind the bar their are great and really friendly especially Ray. On my first night in Goa I went to the Cabin and got blind drunk (not used to the heat). Tended to spend most of the day in 2Pac or the cabin before heading to the Shamrock later on in the evening as it tended to be the busiest place in town. Can't wait to go back when work, money and girlfriend permit. KC's bar was shut as were most of the out of the way bars off Baga Rd.Read More

Hi there, I recently went on a trip to India - First leg was flight from Manchester to London then London to Mumbai. I was probably the only white person on the flight and it was packed. On the return flight from Mumbai to London the flight was half full and the guy next to me asked if I would move... seats so he could lie down across the seats. He explained that his flights had been cancelled several times due to the bad flooding last year during monsoon. I personally had no problem in this and it never entered my head about what colour he was. I had just spent 6 weeks living in Goa and found it more embarrasing trying to understand the caste system and how higher caste Indians treat lower caste's especially in restaraunts. I personally treat others as I want them to treat me. The stranger you meet today could be the person who helps you tomorrow.Read More

I spent 6 weeks in Goa last year and fell in love with the place. If there is anyway I could live over there I would jump at the chance. Spent 5 weeks in the capital Panjim and then the last week in Calangute staying at the Log Cabin. Met loads of really great people over there. I went during...Read more
