I'd like to use this platform to make a complaint about an alleged rip-off by Vodafone on my account - phone number+91-893929abcd. To begin with, I have been a customer with vodafone for many years. My first number was+91-988416abcd(those days they were called Hutch), 2004 - 2007. When I left...Read more

I am a 30-year old Bank-professional from Bangalore, and the owner of a Yam rx100 (1994 make). Of course I have rode almost all the bikes in our country, inclusive of the RD350 as well as the Lightning 535. So what is an uncle's review doing in a modern macho bike, one might ask!! Hi Benji I have the cassette for quite a long time. Prefer A side to B!! But repeated playing has made it - slightly down!! Where do you get it in CD? Regards, Jacob.

That was a very informative and detailed review. Need to do something similar to mine. I'm still thinkin' which would be better - doing something similar to what you did and making the rx look new, or retaining the Retro looks. Let's see.

This is the the 4th time I am taking a bike on a long ride from Bangalore. First ride was last year to Coimbatore(Splendor+, one-way only), then two rides to Chennai and back(RX135) and this is my most recent, RX100 to Chennai and back. In case you guys are using an old bike / used bike and are ...Read more

In the year 2001 the world of Tennis witnessed a watershed event. Wimbledon 4th round. Pete Sampras, the greatest champion then, bowed out of Wimbledon with a loss to Roger Federer. Only one man had beaten him before - Richard Krajicek. Prior to that he was beaten in 1992 by Goran Ivanisevic, bu...Read more

Hi Muruga I don't know why the gears are very hard on your bike. Hero Honda / Unicorn have very good gear-boxes. My friend had a CBZ* with hard gears (brand new). We took it on a long ride on ECR upto Kovalam on a holiday. After that there were no more gear problems.

Hi Happy New Year to you too. I sold my RX135 for a RX100. I agree with everything you say about the 135. It is a very good bike. The max fuel efficiency I got is - guess what - 51 kmpl!! But the fastest I could go was 100 (with lot of strain that too)!! Looks like my buddy was tuned for only mile...age!!Read More

Hi Not much difference between the HH and Honda engines. I agree Uni is the best in the refinement and comfort levels but when it comes to our Indian roads, not much difference between the two!! If you are looking for style go for the CBZ/Hunk. Looking for handling, Apache. The best engine - Uni. ...Best brakes - Pulsar.Read More

Hi Karthik I'm sure you would have enjoyed the Bangalore - Chennai ride!! I too used to go biking from Bangalore to Chennai (twice up and down - with rx135). Regarding the high beam I have found an alternative. To prevent other vehicles from 'paralyzing' you temporarily use anti-glare glasses. Tha...t would minimize concentration lapses in the face of nasty beams. Personally I don't use high beam in that road, because the lighting is OK, but I have gone on only the Bangalore section during the night and wouldn't be able to comment on the entire stretch. Splendor is probably the best vehicle for Chennai road conditions and the worst for Bangalore. Height-wise I don't think it will be correct for you!! A Unicorn or Pulsar would fit you better.

Nice review. However after riding a 100cc bike for around 10 yrs didn't you feel like upgrading to a more efficient bike!!? :-)

Personally I feel that the CT100 is better for city and the Splendor is the best 100cc for highways. Handling on Splendor is consistent throughout. But in stop-and-go traffic, and where there are too many speed-breakers, CT-100 is better.

Hi That sounds like quite a good list. Preferences of music are usually subjective, and one may like a certain song that another might not and vice versa. These songs you have listed are among his 'All-time' bests. But personally I like 'Konji Konji' from 'Veera' and 'Ellorukkum nalla kaalam' from... 'Marupudiyam' on the top of the list as well as most of your favourites!! Happy listening. Regards, Jacob.Read More

This was a very good review. A bike that you might not find in the roads nowadays. Atleast not a good number of them. Is it still in a running condition? If so does it still use the stock parts? Or any modifications? What about it's top speed? Yezdi/Jawa were always good in their technology. A pity ...they couldn't sustain their grip on the market.Read More

Earlier I thought that the Discover was the best 125cc vehicle - with all its features and its power. But Bajaj has removed Disc from that category and made it a 125cc. I don't think XCD can fill the space taken by Disc!! Because Disc was too good. So Glady is now the best 125cc, I think its sales w...ill improve over the next few months.Read More

125 cc would be better than 100cc. The difference in mileage will not matter. PP might give ~60 in city and XCD ~55 in city. 100cc puffs and pants when you have a pillion.

I agree with what Sandeep says about the gear changes - it's an art that comes by practice - not only on the tbird but on any bike. Any bullet needs a lot of maintenance but it is a great vehicle in the long run.
