Chetan Bhagat is the worst writer from a literature point of view. He may be good for youth because he uses simple words and sentences. We should see him as what he really is and not compare him to master writers like Dickens and Shakespeare.

Depends It keeps getting spoiled if you spill stuff or break the glass surface. It's good for cooking with flat bottom utensils. Buy if you cannot get gas or for during gas shortages.

While the points are valid they are no reason to avoid Android. I have used non-smart phones before, but after using Android cannot even think of downgrading.
Let me explain some of the issues you have raised:
No physical answer/end buttons: While this is good for answering calls while sleep...ing, most users these days look at the screen to know the name of the caller and from there the touch keys are easy to use. Even for ending a call all you have to do is look at the screen and click.
Battery: Obviously battery drain will be higher for a more powerful device. My Defy gives me 1.5 days with only phone calls and texts and 6 hours playing sd videos. It may be low for ones liking, but not something to avoid like the plague. In fact new devices are coming with 3000mah batteries for upto 20hrs of video playback.
Background apps and services: They are part of the system and do various tasks advertised by the manufacturer. In order to prevent problems Android users do not have root access and cannot uninstall them without a small hack. But if it bothers you you can definetly uninstall.
Unstable: Google has done a wonderful job to make a working Linux distribution. It would have been better if they built it from scratch.
Bluetooth: Do you want people on the streets to steal your photos? Anyway you can find some app that might make it easier for you to share.

Choice School teachers are some of the worst I have seen. Children need to be free and it's the job of schools to provide a secure environment to the kids to be whoever they need to be and love them uniquely. I personally believe the iphone is over rated.
The retina display is 960x640 pixels compare that to Galaxy Nexus 1280x720
Iphone 4 is single core and outdated whereas you can get dual core androids for 18k.
No expansion of memory and not many free apps as android market.
Although I admit it's c...ute and has a good camera it's not really that superior.Read More

Even I had problems with IFB but I never thought it would turn into a life threatening situation. Hope someone takes them to court , at least to save future customers from such tragedies.

It's not a bad phone by any scale. It does hang a bit and the battery could have been better. I don't use the widgets either, but the contacts are not too difficult. On the positives- the screen is awesome,the sound is good, the phone feels solid in my pocket, most apps work flawlessly. Posting this... from my defy :)

Hey if you register on their site they will send coupons to your phone and it will work for mobiles whenever there is an offer. Usually 2 times a month for mobiles. I bought a mobile from them on discount 1500k cheaper than Flipkart. COD may not be available on some offers.

Isn’t the battery manager the default android one or is there a different one? Cause my Defy battery only does around 4 hrs on wifi with GPS off. Other than that and the Camera, the phone is brilliant for browsing, gaming and videos. I installed moboplayer and I can play most of my standard definiti...on movies on it. Turning off auto-brightness did save some juice. Most of all the voice quality for calls is way superior than my old Nokia.Read More

Actually a micro sim is not a real thing. It's just something Apple created in their contract offerings in US. You can actually convert a regular sim into a micro by cutting off the unwanted part.

It's totally unfair that they can charge such high prices for 10GB usage. This is why any form of non-unlimited internet is a scam. They make huge profits from unexpected bills like this. I suggest changing to any form of unlimited or prepaid use internet.
