I am not sure I agree on the review. My sister & brother-in-law are members with Club Mahindra & they are very happy with the service provided. They recently visited the Coorg resort and had a lovely time. That too they were travelling with their 6 month old kid.

i hope too that the indian idol is a girl...but as statistics say - most of the voters are girls and girls wont vote for a girl contestant. but let's hope this time these statistics are proved wrong!
its fun to watch the auditions, though sometimes i feel that a lot of these contestants just do...nt do a reality check on their abilities. Why would otherwise someone want to come on national tv & make a fool of themselves. maybe the '30 seconds to fame' possibility is a much larger reward than the injury this causes to one's ego :)
and yes, they should seriously do away with the voting system. the judge's decision is enough...after all we have some of the most eminent people from the industry on the panel....Read More

superb & to-the-point! i completely agree with your harrowing experience. just like you i was initially impressed with cel cabs service.
very recently they have introduced a fleet of tata indigo's which they insist on sending every time you call them. this despite the fact that you might request... for an indica or omni. and very coolly they also inform u that not only will they send u the indigo, since its an ac vehicle, u will also be charged more!
what the heck...i pay more for something i don't want?? who needs an AC gaadi at 6am man (which is one of the times that i booked)?! but no amount of this logic works with these guys, finally u either agree to their terms or just cancel the booking. they maintain the same indifference in both scenarios. that's how much you matter to them! and yes, calling hours in advance also does not help...they just don't have cabs no matter how much advance notice u give them.
the language problem is another hurdle. when will this city wake up to realise & accept the fact that there is a big chunk of us who are migrants here & do not understand kannada! its the same callous attitude with all - auto drivers, the mall attendants, the staff at some super market, the small grocery shops, security guards...the list is endless...

I am frequent visitor the NIlgiri's store in 5th block Koramangala. I agree with you on the product range & the lack of customer orientation.
I remember in their initial days in Koramangala, the staff couldnt speak hindi or english. It used to be quite a challenge & a frustrating experience fo...r someone who doesnt speak the local lingo. Considering that the location from where they operate in Koramangala, didnt they feel it was necessary to orient their staff on at least the market names of certain products. For e.g. an item I know as Poha is called 'Avalakki' here or something like 'Daliya'...sorry I dont know the local name for this...
This does become a challenge when you need to ask for help from the staff...

I would say that the food is a little above average, but quite expensive - even a simple idli is costly! The service is not that great. At least in the AC section people expect courtesy & manners. This place lacks this on both counts.
