I'm just back from this movie, we all loved it.I went not expecting much, but yes Farooq Sheik was my man and made me think that I never hated any of his movies.

First of all CONGRATS on getting a Tucson, (how could i forget this on my first comment) ,
Your reply to the comment was helpful, Tucson owners seem happy with their cars.
About the repair bills, the guys at Hyundai tell that the repairs/parts cost will be about 20 to 40% more than the Accent, n...othing more, the real costly parts are of the SONATA, so I dont think this should cause you a problem,

A laughter riot, a totally acceptable crazy movie.
You should watch a movie the way it should be watched, when you know it's David Dhawan you know you cannot expect serious kind of perfect movie, it's a run for fun, a total dhamaal movie.

Well I really appreciate that a movie like this is made, infact a true indian will never criticise this movie, some social message is tried to pass on through this movie.
The only thing is people should not expect a Lagaan or a mushy sharukhan romantic flick, once they know they are going to watc...h a movie with a social message I guess they'll start liking it.
It's not necessary that if I like something other's may like it, I know if I recommend it to my friends they'll not like it, so I really dont recommend it strongly.
It was a bit tricky for me to write about Swades, I never knew whether to write with my heart or my brains, guess combined a bit of both.
So Swapna you are right, expectations will kill this movie in the long run.

Well i treated this moive as a doucmentary, so it's a good documentary but not a very good movie.
Also the subject is so real and touchy, i dont feel like writing bad about this movie,
So if you really want to see this movie, train your mind that you are going for a documentary, you may like i...t ;)

Gosh, this movie is pathetic, the ending more so.
Bhoot was a much much more better movie than this one.
The actors especially Sush are all great, but the weak script could save none.

Whatever I've written about the movie is true.
If u read Times of India, Bombay edition of 17th June 04, you'll come across an article informing about Rajkot court filing a petition against the running of this movie.
The petition states the same thing about how people have come out of the godh...ra incident and are not living in peace, a movie about this subject at this time is not welcome at all.
After all a director makes a movie to earn money, and the communal issue has been made a scape goat this time in order to cash in the moolah which I dont think will be possible.
