Have not driven the Palio extensively but I presume milage to be above 15kms/L. As mentioned we bought the Palio more for the comfort and safety aspects and being a vell-built (aka heavy) vehicle mileage was not an absolute issue. Right review at the right time but wrong audience.
HH is old, oudated - can't be better said but then it looks the Japs know the typical Indian MindSet better than we know it ourselves. Or else, how can one explain why we still love to buy a outdated junkbox called M800 when we have much betters ...things out there? Now, it's not funny that HH keeps rebadging the same old thing - but it sure is a shame and pity how we allow ourselves to be bluffed. Surely, we can't blame HH for not being innovative. I'm product that Apna Bajaj is the only manufacturer with the widest product range and it makes me sad to see my countrymen still run after foreign branded products even long, long, and long after the parent company discoutinue the product in its country of origin.
We pride on being proud Indians but how many of us wud be prepaed to shun the HH junk and ride Apna Bajaj.....

Having also owned M800, Omni, PAL-Padmini, Contessa Classic and Santro, I confidently feel that Palio is the most comfortable and safe car in the range.
