Medically speaking, it would be too easy to diagnose mild forms of psychiatric illnesses in most people. Personally I find SRK's self banter about him being the king khan, trying to copy aamir etc. too irritating. however he just gave a wonderful performance in Chack de India. I think I'd be a... fan of SRK who acts in movies like Chack de india rather than his usual frien-love triangles. Does that mean he is suffering from MPD (multiple personality disorder) too ? Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most popular and successful'superstar' in Bollywood. He follows the same cult fan following as was enjoyed by Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachan in their times. One after another he has given big blockbusters every year for the past many years. It was often evident not s...Read more

humbling Australia

Mar 06, 2008 12:34 PM

psychological victory This post was more about the way they behave and think of India as a third world country which is hugely undeveloped. Which is of course true to a some extent but India is no longer a western colony that the people in the developed countries can think of as subordinates. Th...is is what their behavior on cricket field and relating to social and political events seems to suggest. That the Indian cricket could contest their behavior, answer them, and defeat them psychologically as well as in the sport is more like a subtle but significant message of how you cant get away with bickering with the Indian side. They may come back in form and win again, but they will have also learned to respect the Indians. (cntd.) Read More

Too soon to celebrate??

Mar 05, 2008 03:37 PM

celebrating for the present or the future ? We should celebrate what we've won ! If one country becomes too dominating it just takes the suspense and excietment away from the sport. Just like it was routine to expect Australia to win every match it played, you could very well assume it is going t...o win the match if you were not watching that game. However, it makes sense to celebrate consistency in winning when India has delivered consistent victories. We can celebrate being world champions when we win the world cup, whats the use of celebrating or worrying in anticipation ? ;)Read More

I personally found the movie, not worth it. Repeating the same assassination event over and over, was simply too boring. The plot didn't thicken much, and in the second half the story was hugely (unfortunately) as predictable as a normal good vs bad plot. It was pretty much a waste of money and ...time for me.Read More

humbling Australia

Mar 05, 2008 01:06 PM General 800 Views

Far too many events in the recent time have given the impression that Australia equals Arrogance. The recent cricket victory over Australia has been a moment of national pride, not just for winning the cricket tournament, but also for humbling the 3rd world impression they have about Indians. Aus...Read more

Marriage: Its Need, Futility & Origin

Feb 26, 2008 04:06 PM

something you missed about marriage Here is one of the main reason why marriage is crucial and its not just about freedom of choices as in live-in relationships. That reason is children. Its not a great idea to change partners once you have children. When you consider live in, it will be a tot...al devastation once you have children. It simply cannot continue. Both single moms and single dads have a very tough time. And once you have kids you cant think of new relationships, we can ask the guys who have kids. So, here is where you missed a point, live in doesn't really mean propogation of species. You need to have marriage for healthy development of offspring. Read More

1) parts of the review (the problem with love) are inspired by the road less travelled . 2) emotional intelligence : Daniel Goleman . So are you still curious . Grab a copy of The road less travelled . The book explores our own subconscious self . This review has a very simplified version of so...me of those points about life . Even though the book is a difficult read , IF , you do read it , it will be one of the most rewarding and fruitful experience of your life . I am really surprised that this is the first review of this more than excellent book .Read More
