HouseJoy has services that are offered at higher prices than those quoted by Bro4U and others. Despite being pricey they are very very choosy about the areas and addresses in Bangalore and the kind of services they would provide. The price of 35000/- was in 2006, my friend. It is 2012 and surely the price will be higher now. My wife and mother appreciate the cookware better today and I feel it's done it's job as well. I still would not give any higher marks for the sales folks - they've got to show all their products to a cu...stomer and let the customer decide what he / she wants.Selective selling is something that I don't appreciate at all!Read More

Please note that it is a waste of time for a visitor to come across such a review. When it is supposed to be a review on the product (Inverter), there is more talk and mention about a dealer.

I'm no marketing guy of APC. I'm a consumer of their product and my review is based on MY experience of the same (I cannot possibly write a review of YOUR experience of a product!!). You'd have to do that yourself. Stick to objective view points - don't make subjective assumptions.

There are several GREAT Indian companies who offer immaculate service (Maruti, Tata, Reliance, Moser Baer etc... this is just to name a few and they offer products and services that are great value for money). Please do not make this an issue of Indians. It is a problem with AMC -- they need to layo...ut processes and systems to ensure strict quality assurance and customer service. They need to understand that India has a unique culture and you need to align your business framework accordingly.Read More

Try and imagine of running a business yourself and introspect what you would do if you were on the side of addressing the same problem you're highlighting -- I'm sure all solutions would have their positives and negatives. There are always 2 sides of the coin and I think companies like Wipro, Infosy...s and Satyam, despite the trivial issues pointed here (in my sense), provide bread to a lot of families looking for a break. Let's try and appreciate that.Read More

But, doesn't 'mister_yogi' bring out the valid point that the Citibank manager should've explained the policy loading charges upfront (based on the tenure, instead of selling a product that gives them maximum commission, and hence completely not worried about whether they're providing value-added ad...vice to consumers. And, 'mister_yogi' is right in pointing out that the policy loading fee for very similar ULIP plans are lower at ICICI -- nothing wrong in pointing this as well. I agree with you that this fund may given reasonable returns in the long run, but the point to note, is the charges retrieved in comparision to other companies offering similar products at lesser charges.Read More

The sign of a good company (no matter which people base they're selling to, class or no-class): 'Deliver what you promise' OR at-least, 'promise less, deliver more'. All of you have a view-point based on the experience each of you have with AMC. I respect that. I'm entitled to have one based on my ...experience with AMC and I'm sorry to say it's not 'all pink'. Besides, in my review, I've been quite 'fair' explaining the various advantages the product offers and I also point out the lapses on AMC's side. So, I'm not putting down the company totally. The consumer needs to be aware of all details before making a decision -- that is the objective of a site like 'MouthShut'. It is upto AMC to oversee how they can minimize lapses from their front.Read More

One more point that I feel strongly about is, if the product is really world-class as they claim, why not have a buy-back policy? A 15-day policy or even a 7-day buy-back policy would do; that would mean a lot about the confidence they have in their products.

I would probably appreciate the product better if the marketing folks were a bit more honest (or friendlier even). I still can't get to cook a Pizza which they promised many times over when asked; worst, the AMC folks came home thrice to do a pizza and failed all 3 times!! When asked, they just shru...g and say that's all they can do. I paid a fortune believing in some lies! I work hard myself for my customers and definitely don't cheat them. Second, I paid Rs 500/- as advance for the SecuQuick Lid, but later, AMC decided that they'd not sell it to me at the discounted price they promised. All that was fine since I was anyway not interested. I said okay and asked them to return my advance of Rs 500/- and they never did! When I followed-up, they kept saying the guy is out of station and never got back to me. Third, these are the days of SOLAR DOM Microwaves and microwaves that enable steam cooking -- much better alternates to consider. Finally, here's the surprise: My mother's now advertising AMC products, yet I'm at odds with her. While she finds it better now, I still don't give them credit -- simply because the performance expected is not up to the mark for the money paid!Read More
