i am sorry for typing spoon tray .it is spoon basket where you have to put the soapnuts. donot crush or deseed them.they are to be put in it as it is .let us know your view on it so that this natural way of cleaning in a modern gaget like d w is propogated to more and more users

soap nuts are soapberries and not anything that is manmade they are naturally found on treesyou can find more information on net even have look at them

The soapnuts should not be deseeded. The vinegar shouls be put in the place of the rinse aid liquid.

it is dried soapnuts in the spoon tray..as far as salt is concerned it depends on the kind of water supply you have in your area for the purpose because i stay in goa and the water in this part of the state is soft .so actually idont need the salt atall,and so i dont add it to the machine,So kindly ...see if its ok you to use it without salt.dont worry about the machine nothing will go wrong if you try that out Read More

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND START UUSING 5 TO 6 SOAP NUTS IN THE SPOON TRAY WHICH GIVES GOOD WASHING QUALITY FOR 15 WASHING CYCLES AND AS FAR AS THE RINSE AID IS CONCERNED USE VINEGAR INSTEAS OF IT .IT IS MORE HEALTHY MUCH NATURAL AND MUCH MORE EASILY AVAILABLE AND ECOFRIENDLY SUBSTITUTES
