Today, sitting in Switzerland (statistically the safest country in the world today), I am terrible scared ! Why? Because my husband has gone to Delhi for a week for work!!! No, he is not a soldier and I have been constantly reminding myself that he has not gone on a war, so just relax ! But how can one relax after what happened in Mumbai on 26th? No place seems to be safe enough. Anyone can come and shoot u at yr home or while u r having dinner at some restaurant or for that matter anywhere else and as a common man u can do nothing for your defense, Nothing!
I am so sad, my heart is weeping for all those tortured and brutally murdered in Mumbai, I may not be related to them through blood or acquaintance but I am certainly related to them through humanity. I have never felt so angry, helpless, depressed , heartbroken…Will this blood shed ever come to an end? Why? Why? Why is all this happening , who r the people behind all this , what do they want and what r they trying to prove by killing innocent people. These handful of sick people think that they r “ the warriors of God” Hahahahah !What a Joke!!! Every single cell in my body is filled with hatred towards them!!! I wish I could do something, but what ... I don't know? How, I don't know? I feel so helpless and clueless!!!
Now, very proudly our media and politicians will announce that “ Look at the spirit of Mumbai, everyone has gone back to work , people are travelling in local trains and going to hotels and leading a normal life and bla bla bla !!!” My question is “ Do they have a choice?” People have to go to work, most of the people just earn hand to mouth !
Why US was never attacked after 9/11 and why this is the 11th attack in these 11 months of 2008 in our country? Why? Because no one glorified the spirit of NY after the attacks and used it as an excuse to forget it. Bush may be the dumbest president ever, yet he proved to be smart enough and protected his common man. Though our leaders may not be dumb but unfortunately they r totally corrupt and un-interested in common man’s misery!!!
