There is this impression that the politician has the last word on everything.He/she decides how the country and by natural extension,its citizens will conduct themselves.They are our custodians,our guardians so to speak.Not so now.As I watched the news channels last Sunday,it was fun watching our netas getting the stick.They are now sitting ducks and everyone is taking a potshot.People all over are angry,so angry that heads have started rolling.The netas some of whom are consummate foot-in-the-mouth artistes can hardly do anything now without being censured by the public.Everyone is an activist and each is giving his neighbourhood neta a good thrashing,verbal or otherwise.Now,is this just a zeitgeist,a trend as it were or is india rising?Only time will tell....
