Waste not Waste Land
I think I shall never understand
What was in the mind of old T.S.
Beyond my conception I would guess
as for the incomparable e.e.
(with his many parenthetical sentences
which seem to go on and on
making as little sense as the rest
of his poem
is
this
long
enough)
Perhaps I should cease and desist
The temptation not to resist
Continuing to parody the poets of yore
At the risk of becoming a bore
In the jest of my quest for poetical best.
