Imran does not have conventional chocolate hero good looks but youth is on his side. His deep gaze has girls swooning over him. While Imran shows maturity of performance, Ranbir is still in the boyish phase.

Ranbir had the backing of the Kapoor family name and director like Bhansali. He is the true chocolate hero too. Imran’s parents are not well known but uncle Aamir propelled him. His debut vehicle took wings on word of mouth while Saawariya was heavily promoted. Looks wise too he is a notch below Ranbir.

But all these differences do not weigh with the viewers, who prefer the unconventional hero. There is a great demand for Imran’s appearances. He is on his way to being the next hottest hunk on the Bollywood scene. The new kid on the block has certainly made his presence felt in no uncertain terms. He has to just maintain it.

While Ranbir has been around since 2004, Imran arrived in 2008 only but has made a strong impact on the audience. His future projects Luck, Delhi Belly, 7 Days In Paris and I Don’t Believe In Love are eagerly awaited. Even Ranbir’s forthcoming releases Wake Up Sid, APKGK, Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year and Rajniti are looked forward to.

Imran is selecting his projects with care with the able advice of Aamir Khan. He is taking his own time to be choosy and careful. And that pays in the long run. Instead of having 10 duds, he would rather act in a single good movie. That’s a wise decision.

The future looks rosy for both Ranbir and Imran. They are in a growing up phase. There is lot of time to build up on the present work. What makes Imran steal a march over Ranbir is his carefully chosen projects. He is waiting and watching. That’s a good strategy. There is no hurry. What may not work for unconventional heroes is definitely working for Imran. Must say ‘luck’ is on his side. Touch wood.

Imran comes across as an actor whereas Ranbir is fast gaining the popular star tag. No one can predict the future but as things stand today, Imran is definitely hotter than Ranbir. Both are running to the winning post. If RANbir began the ‘ran’, it seems ImRAN may well end it.

Some feel Ranbir comes across as haughty and arrogant while Imran is down to earth and amiable. Well, there will be as many opinions as many people are there.

There is no doubt behind whom the viewer (girls, fans) run. And that is what matters. It is definitely Imran for now. Let’s see what the future holds for both of them.
