Today in the parking lot I saw a praying mantis. It was sitting on the footrest of a motorcycle and I felt that it wont be long before it will be crushed by someone. I took two of those transparent plastic containers that we use for drinking water and had the mantis put inside it.. drilled few holes into it to let air for it and put some green leaves into it so that it feels natural about it. Mantis are carnivorous so feeding it should be an issue as of now.

I googled out and was amazed to see that mantis make a very good pet.
