Just saw a news item claiming adulterated potatoes in market. Potatoes are being dusted with chemical or cement to make them look like better variety and are sold on double the price..

Am just wondering if we have a government body that checks these things and punishes them suitably.

I thought there existed government inspectors or officials who would frequently check adulteration in our food items like Dal, and vegetables and take those to task who are involved. I am sure such a body exists but the only difference is that they might be getting hefty money from these illegal people as bribe.


(Anyways I usually avoid potatoes ..... )
