The Question asked on March 11th was
Why do we have a Women's day and not a Men's day?and the best three answers recieved were (Love to all who worte in..:))
a)

a day of protest, demanding better working conditions for the woman. It was the day to remember 140 plus woman give away their life due to the poor working condition. The continuous protest on 8th March lead to
later declaration of the day as woman’s day.
In a way it is a way to reduce the protests by the woman to give a feeling that they too are considered with a day in their name.
b)
Vee ()
It’s our way of showing love to you all. After all we are living, taking breath because of you only. Tum nahi toh hamara koi astitva nahi.
c)
Ateesh ()
Women need to be told that they are important (they always are even if they are not told), hence a day to signify that.Men generally do not bother about such things.
Honestly, we’ve come up with dates that symbolise something or the other, but life does not change becaue of that particular day, be it valentine’s day, children’s day or the independence day. Most of these days are manufactured days - life does not change due to them.
d)
Pramod ()
International Men’s Day is an international holiday, celebrated on the first Saturday of November. Moreover, being a male dominated society, ironically, men have their share everyday not just one day. But, women have now scaled the same heights as men on the professional front & broken free from the shackles of bondage. The tradition began in 1999, probably by analogy to International Women’s Day.
