To Hell With It

Long before I started writing on MouthShut, I used to write reviews of Bollywood releases and some random stuffs on Bollywood and forward it to my colleagues, family and friends (which I still do). And trust me I have got few out there who unfailingly read mine and give their feedback on regular basis. One of them is my classmate from college days Pavan. Last night he sent me a mail stating, “Looks like someone flicked ur concept” and a link was there in the subject line. I opened it and was quite amused to read what link had to provide.

I wrote an article on New_Generation_Directors_In_Bollywood on Dec 06, 2007. The idea was to write on those directors who were just one film old and were coming up with their second movie in the year 2007. The link to my article is:

However, the link of IndiaFM which Pavan sent me has an article based on the same concept which I had written earlier on. This article graced the site on Dec 31, 2007 and was written by some Joginder Tuteja. Of course, he hasn’t copy-pasted but the concept is out and out mine. The link to his article is:

Can we do something about this? I guess not. Internet is like a Khuli Kitaab and the stuff here can be easily accessed, used and distorted according to your need. Is being on internet is getting dangerous? Is being on these networks and sharing personal information, catching up with old friends and hooking up with new ones, dangerous? Is the web with its anonymity such a huge threat? Are we really a risk when we share personal and professional information online? Is it time to cut off the chord, switch off the computer, lock the door and never step back on the information highway? But there is something about the seductive nature of the internet that makes us drop this long learnt virtue and enter into states of revelation that we otherwise would look upon as unthinkable.

What happens to your creativity then? Is creativity for free? Aap likho aur baaki sabke liye free. Huh!!!

Editing after reading few comments that link is not opening: I pasted the link again and if still not then please go to my reviews and check directly.
