I fully agree with you. The only old timer in their HR is Bala who behaves as though Bechtel is his father's company. I received a relieving letter a full year after I left the Company! Bechtel India still do not have much in the way of projects - a serious reflection of lack of faith in its top management. Six sigma is best left to the manufacturing industry. Bechtel have adopted this six sigma model yet goofed up badly in several past projects (eg. OGD-III and PX were a disgrace ...- ask any old Bechtel India employee who remembers those bad days when they slogged for many months - even on Saturday/all holidays without OT). You need to butter the boss to survive there. Hard work is not appreciated. Only designers/draftsmen had a great time ’chilling out’ during the boom of 2005-08. Korean / Japanese companies want work as they are paying you for it unlike Bechtel who paid a lot of worthless guys for passing their time near the gate!Read More
