very sad to hear this story and i don't have any words to tell you. you pointed out very correctly ( me being a doctor) that the drs there failed you and your husband. melena should have been attended to urgently and appropriate referral sent as early.

very well written and very true to the fact. i have to change first and then teach others. i am not a bangalorean, but has visited the city many times. i used to like it, say 10-15 years back.now i don't. the story is same for other indian cities too. 2 things which helps to ease congestion... a big way-- - cities with big population should have mass rapid transit system, just like what delhi have now. - use bicycles for distances you are comfortable with. ( helps ease congestion, good for your health, good for nation as fuel consumption goes down). again other vehicles should learn to respect , ideally should have a bicycle lane.Read More

what rubish if they cant speak attleast hindi..... i totally disagree with your comments. 100 % literacy means that we know how to read and write our local language , not 2to 3 languages. i know hindi and has got nothing against hindi/ but can't understand when people try to thrust hindi on ev...eryone. you can;t force people on such things..... and i am very proud that we have achieved 100 % literacy way back in 1990, and rest of india still way behind ( not a happy situation). i agree the labour problems you indicated.
