Feng Shui - Common mistakes commited and their rem

Posted on Jul 22, 2008 under Spiritual

Acknowledging the interest of a few people here on mouthshut, who believe that a little alteration in their daily living and routines can make their lives abundant and not deprived from anything to suffice their basic as well as luxurious necessities, I am encouraged to put up this post, to point out few mistakes people commit, while implementing this art in their lives. I am pointing out a few of those, a minor correction of which, could really snap a lot of hindrance(s) towards your accomplishments.

The three common mistakes which people normally land up committing would be that,: -
[Mistake 1]
Some people choose colors based on their own personal “Gua” or Trigram. As an example, a person born in 1961 is the CHEN trigram, which is associated with the Wood element and the color green. To paint your bedroom green because of this could easily be a mistake and not cater to the inherent energies of the room.
[Mistake 2]
Some books outline the inherent elements (and colors) associated with a particular direction and their benefits accordingly, but most readers think that those are the appropriate colors. A few, luckily though, get away with it through pure coincidence or may be LADY LUCK standing by their side at that point of time and making them implement things correctly. For instance, the south direction is associated with fire and people think it is correct to make or paint the south room in the house, red! DANGER and purely FATAL. This is wrong about 80% (or most) of the time.
[Mistake 3]
The third common mistake is regarding the arbitrary color assignments given to different sections of the house, based on the New Age Bagua Map (Black Hat School of feng shui). People need to be reminded or informed that, the Bagua Map (with the Wealth corner and the Marriage corner) was invented less than thirty years ago and has very little to do with traditional feng shui or its routine practice. The Black Hat school recommends certain colors for those 8 imaginary life stations, based partly on western color psychology (i.e.pink in the Marriage corner) and partly on a misinterpretation of the “later-heaven sequence” of the Lo-shu grid. [Now, I know, you might wonder what this Lo-Shu would mean. God help me, ha ha]

Let me make your life easier by explaining the meaning and the origin of this, Lo-Shu, in short. Hsia Yu, a famous Chinese prehistoric personality, one day, came across some very interesting markings on the shell of a giant tortoise, which came out from the River Lo in Central China. This became Lo Shu (See, very simple). The word 'Lo' means river and the term 'Shu' indicate books. Different Lo Shu numbers indicates different directions which are believed to be auspicious. I would have a separate section on Lo-Shu and its calculations in case I witness an intent from MS members, to know more about this. Lo-shu grid indicates the flow of Qi (energy), based on 9 directions (isn't it marvelous). Now let us come to the remedies, by choosing the correct colors for you.

The first example of stylizing a room, based on who is using it, can in fact be done, but is of least important in my opinion and more information in fact, is needed to come to a balanced conclusion. More than just one element based on year of birth, each person is some combination of elements based on the year, month, day, and hour of birth. As an example, if I have too much earth in my chart, I would need to control it with wood or reduce it with metal. Despite of my love for earthy colors and a preference to have my house painted in two different shades of peach, I would still prefer altering my interiors a bit, to green (wood) and white (metal), so that I feel a lot more balanced.

With mistake Number 2, there is some truth to the inherent element associated with a direction. For e.g., the direction of southeast is inherently a Wood direction. But this doesn’t mean that, the room in your house that falls in the southeast should be painted green. It is more like a “shadow” influence for the other combinations of elements. Calculations based on, when a house is built, will reveal much more explicit information about each room and what element or combination of elements/colors would be needed there, than anything else.

It is also incorrect to believe that the function of a room totally dictates the colors. This would be rather rigid to think that a bedroom must be dreamy blue or an office, power red! Some people also have an extraordinary sensitivity to color, but from a feng shui angle, Swiss coffee white and Navajo white are essentially the same color (as Feng Shui states white as WHITE). Feng Shui is nature friendly and its aim is to bring the person as close to nature as possible, so you go through this divine feeling of being rejuvenated and feel much more than just being energetic, in your lives.

Fengshui - Tips to make you BIG (It helped me, so

Posted on Jul 19, 2008 under Spiritual

People, ever since the very evolution of this magical, yet practical art of the use of the right form of energy (positive -yin and negative - yang) for the prosperity and wellbeing of mankind, Fengshui as an art has been a lot into use and scrutiny, at equal levels. Scrutiny, because of its reverse effect on vibrations (which is impossible), only caused due to improper use and a priority focus on sticking to directions and not logic. This science, stresses more on use of colours, which form a perfect balance for imbibing evenly distributions, in varied zones of a human body. Believe me friends, it worked wonders for me and so I decided to extend it out, to you. Not that I am a saint, but because, its simple (Do not waste your time pondering over my generosity, because this approach has also got a secret motive, ha ha). As per the Asian belief, it has been practised forever, that any expression has to be immediately supported with an equal or rational expression in response, provides higher measure of success and more Positivity towards faster achievement of your goals and desires (NOW YOU KNOW MY LITTLE SECRET, AS TO WHY SO GENEROUS , and I hope you follow the same to make you touch the sky, with your feet firm on the ground and not hanging).

This ancient Chinese philosophy of Feng Shui has been in practice for over 4000 years (Imagine the number of yonis or forms we have lived through, as mortals). It is a belief or a ritual, focussing on advicing use colors, the placement of objects, and creating a flow of positive chi (vibe or energy, as you may call it), to enhance a person’s environment for the best results of balance and harmony. Colors are incredibly important in this practice and each one represents different aspects of nature. The correct placing of these colors in the correct area of a home is instrumental in creating the right balance for success, happiness, and serenity. Using Feng Shui color can revitalize the chi in a home or office and help the occupants find a deeper level of peace.

The Feng Shui colors can also be broken down into categories of yin or yang colors (hee and haa, kungfu style - just for fun). Yin colors are considered to be more relaxing and promote healing of the body, mind, and spirit. These colors are useful to use in bedrooms and nurseries. Blue is a yin color. It is thought to be soothing and restful. For example, when you picture the ocean, you see a picture of serene, calm water. The spirit can’t help but feel at peace. Blue is also useful in a room where someone is ill or recovering from illness or surgery. In Feng Shui, blue is also associated with intelligence and an explorative nature.

There are other Feng Shui colors that fall into the yin category as well. Black is considered to be excellent for careers. It is the color of money and is especially useful when used with a metallic color too. Black also symbolizes power and emotional protection. Another color in this Feng Shui family is purple. It is similar to blue in that it is considered beneficial in aiding healing. In the Feng Shui practice, purple is associated with an immense awareness of the spirit. White is yet another yin color in the Feng Shui tradition. It symbolizes purity and confidence.

Of course on the other side of the spectrum is the yang colors. These Feng Shui colors are considered to be a little more vibrant than the yin colors and compliment their yin partners perfectly. Red is the most obvious of the yang colors. It is excellent for creating emotional excitement. Red is also incredibly invigorating and for that reason should be used carefully to avoid over stimulating the mind and spirit. When used correctly, red has the ability to add energy to an environment.

I will be holding my tips over here, to see how many people over here, actually believe in working towards the betterment of their lives. Their responses, will inspire me to keep penning useful tips, for contributing to their success (Though, efforts would be purely yours). Sorry to put the brakes on, but I strongly believe that, such a piece of knowledge should never go wasted. It should stop here, if it sees no takers, who wish to benefit, I cannot risk my hard-earned success for nobody (SORRY, I COULD BE LOOKING, RUDE). Tell me of any science, whose positive and negative side, both influence equally, for the benefit of mankind. Hope you would understand and appreciate my concern people. I promise you, once I see even a few willing to benefit from these tips and their implementations, I will be ellaborately helping all (SO, I CAN BENEFIT TOO, YOU SEE)

Hope to see, hear, read from and help many, so I advance one more step, towards success.

Pancholi Hospital - THE FINAL JOURNEY

Posted on Jul 16, 2008 under Health and Fitness

We had just started feeling easy, when luck, just took away our smile and I was informed, that the same, son-of-a-bitch in the name of a doctor, Amol, would be attending to my father, as he was also a consultant of the current hospital and since he had attended the case, he would be the right help, the hospital could offer. We were devastated and could do nothing but see our father turning feeble and a patient in true sense, than seeing him recover. SATAN HAD HIS CHANCE AND TIME FOR REVENGE. After recurring pain and trauma, faced by my father, due to wrong medicines and his doubt, that he was being targeted upon, because of him refraining from going through an angioplasty on doctor’s advice, he called the doctor, attending on him at that instant and insisted on his discharge, since he was feeling alright and wanted to rest at home. On continuous and rigid insistence of my father, and not being in a position to answer Dad’s queries, Dr.Amol and his 40 thieves, with their heads dug deep in the puddle with shame, had to relieve him, after his 7 days of non-stop agony and pain, in the hospital. We had then seen the happiness on our father’s face on his way home and things kept going normal for some time.

Until again, one day, he got a catch on his chest, but he kept insisting that it was caused due to acidity and had nothing to do with cardiac problems. Me and my brother, this time not wanting to take a chance, went straight back to the undertaker (Amol), thinking that we made a mistake by not believing him, and he then, after immense display of drama, agreed on re-consulting on my dad’s case and that’s it. My dad kept complaining, of the medicines reverse effects, and we kept ignoring, making him feel we understood him. Despite of his weakness and the doctors assurance, of allowance of his movements and activities, despite of weakness, dad tried to keep up with his daily chores, all until, the 13th day of July, 2006, noon, on his way back home from the temple and reaching the house door, he met someone waiting for him to accompany him. Death. It was too late by the time our neighbors and we could make up to him to grab him from the wretched clutches.

After all the rites at home, it was now time for the funeral procession and I and my brother were running around the doctor to procure a death certificate and finally despite of the bastards, vain efforts to dodge us, and forcibly confront us (NOT EVEN A DEVIL WOULD DO THAT, UNDER SUCH CONDITIONS), he told us on our face that, he could not approve of my fathers death, since the miserable and spineless creeper, felt that maybe, my father would have committed suicide, than succumbing to natural death. We insisted on him, having a test done at my residence, which he also refused and when I asked him, that doesn’t he feel, that he is responsible for this entire affair, since he assured my dad to move around despite of him complaining of improper health and him begging to let him discontinue certain medicines, he felt was harming him, he asked to leave the premise or else he would get us thrown out. We were in a state, where no man, no matter how strong, can dream of retorting, because all we had before our eyes all the time was our father’s corpse, resting at home and waiting for his divine journey to commence. Not only that, on our approaching another doctor on grounds of sympathy, he threatened him, a famous physician of our locality, to make the certificate at his own risk, since he would not certify his involvement, to an extent, that he would refuse to have ever consulted or treated on this patient, if questioned and that, the patient was not under his medication, after being relieved from the hospital. We were shattered.

It was then, when god, had mercy and send a messiah, a doctor, whom we never knew ever or visa versa, who was called upon, by one of our society residents, and he obligated us by granting the certificate, so we could proceed with our rituals and that is when, my father’s final journey could commence. After all the 13 day rituals, i.e. the 26th of JULY 2007, a day which was marked as the black day in the history of this city, natures wrath struck, and the whole city was submerged. Mother nature, was gentle and loving enough, to have made my fathers divine journey easier and let his children, finish all the rituals, which could offer peace and rest to his soul.

I tried to teach this evil rodent in the name of a doctor a lesson, by pursuing with media, NGO’s and maybe everybody who seemed to be boasting and tooting their horns and trumpets, of being the messiahs of the needy, but in vain. I could not get justice for my fathers soul and also for all the children (I am sure, many and many, would have gone through it) whose tears and pain, given by these lichens, went unnoticed. But, I promised one thing to myself, I will get these SO CALLED DOCTORS, behin

Pancholi Hospital - CRADLE TO THE GRAVE (2)

Posted on Jul 16, 2008 under Health and Fitness

To my despair, his 10 mins got extended to more than an hour and all I was left with to do, is to struggle to get the respirator working, to get a ward boy to have the oxygen supply started, to fight for the cardiac equipment (fearing a cardiac arrest), to yell at the house keeping to have the area below my fathers bed cleaned (These guys have the nerve and the audacity to put a mosquito repellant, and that too tortoise, inside the ICCU, if you dare to complaint of pest problems, SO BEWARE) and get one junior doctor, to my fathers rescue, because all of them, including doctors, ward boys, nurses, attendants, were half asleep and were hardly knowing what and to whom they are talking (You can still witness all this drama, LIVE, if at all, you make it to the hospital, after midnight). When I finally managed, after lot of hue and ado, to grab one Jr.Doctor, to my surprise, I saw the great son of the Satan, Dr.Amol (imagine it took me almost an hour, to get one Jr.doctor to attend to my dad), storming in (as if he had been really valuing an emergency), screaming at the fellow doctors and trying to put up this excellent drama of preaching them their roles and responsibilities as a doctor. And eureka, everybody started working, just as you would witness, when a boss enters the office, and seemed to have multiple hands and excess energy, more than any human can possess. Not a single retina was bloodshot or had any signs of need for sleep or lethargy. MAN, it truly was a miracle. Analysis happened, and then I was informed by the doc, that the problem arose because my father’s lungs were filled with water leading to this breathlessness attack and the condition of his heart needs to be diagnosed. In such a situation , no matter rich or poor, the last thing that can ever come to ones mind would be the expense, no matter how big it could be, cos nothing could be more important than saving your loved ones, BUT WAIT, that’s exactly what the doctors know of, very well and leave no opportunity to exploit. There starts their BUSINESS. It is a typical filmy situation, where the doctor is the superstar and you are the audience. The Satan’s mind starts working and there, goes your peace of mind. All that they counsel is fear, making mistakes seem bigger than a sin, making a child feel miserable for not have taken care enough, of his parents (doesn’t matter, even if you are the most loving child, these guys still have the skill, to make you look like a culprit). The countdown begins, Medicines (List is bigger than the patients height and need – more than half goes wasted, but wait, that’s where the immortal bonding between the chemist and the hospital, comes to life. BARTER), Tests (Sonography, 3d Eco, ECG, EEG etc. – Scaring the patient enough, till he actually feels that, he better have been dead), Bribing the hospital staff (to ensure that your loved one is handled safely, respirator is checked and diagnosis is done, at regular intervals, doses are given on time and food served, is better than what the rats might be feasting on, in the pantry and not forgetting, your loved one breathes oxygen and not a mosquito repellent, a place where, if you are two, so, at least one sits and the other stands, believe me no pain seems bigger then), etc., etc., etc…….

Here comes the toughest part. Doctor’s and hospital charges, needs to be paid in advance, because these swine’s in the name of a noble and divine profession, feel that the patient and his kin would run away and not pay them the list of their dubious charges (LEECHES WOULD BE BETTER, AFTER SUCKING A STIPULATED AMOUNT OF BLOOD AND BLOATING, THEY FALL OFF. BUT THESE GUYS!!!!!!!). SO….. after all the satisfactory payment formalities (Because, today, in this profession, money is BIGGER than life), the doctor now started focusing on a strategy to maximize consistency of revenue inflow.) He declared my father’s state, as a critical case of cardiac arrest and a need for immediate operation. My father, however, on feeling a bit better, refrained from accepting this diagnosis and constantly insisted, that I shouldn’t rely on the scoundrel(s). But, blindfolded in his love and my need to see him recover and back to health, I defied his words and just took one extra move, the very next day, to move him to another hospital, on priority. The Doctor, tried to convince me hard, to step back from my decision, since, as per his notion, it would cause lots of inconvenience and stress to my dad, but I preferred being deaf and sticking to my guts and forced them to adhere and support my decision. My father was then moved to Rane Hospital, Pestom Sagar, Chembur. That is where, I took a sigh of relief, since I could see, an ICCU being an ICCU, and reasonable though not best, care provided to my father.

Contd in the last section....

Pancholi Hospital - CRADLE TO THE GRAVE - I

Posted on Jul 16, 2008 under Health and Fitness

I am sure, once hearing the name; many might relate their lives and losses to this disastrous premise. GATEWAY TO HELL. This is one best thought, which will strike you, like a thunderbolt, and see you praying, if ever you tend to see your loved ones admitted here, till the time (if your are lucky enough), see them being discharged, hale and hearty and safe in your hands. I very closely relate to this, so-called-morgue in the name of a hospital, since I had made the biggest mistake of my life, of getting my own loved one over here, MY OWN LOVING FATHER. The year 2006, as none of the mumbaikars can ever forget, left me a victim to 2 major calamities and a vital loss in my life. Though, I would still call myself blessed, because I could at least get away unharmed from the wrath of mother nature, because I feel, she might have sensed that, her, giving me another shock in the form of another loss due to the 26th July floods, would be cruel on her part and so she decided to let me get away with it, with lesser losses than others.

That unfortunate incident still haunts me, because on the auspicious night of Holi festival, in the month of March 2006, my father had suffered a first breathlessness attack. It was midnight and I along with my younger brother because of being caught up in our office due to excess work pressure, reached home late and on opening the door, witnessed our father whining and trying hard to breathe through his mouth. That is when disaster first struck our lives, and made us encounter this forbidden place, by the name of PANCHOLI HOSPITAL for the first and definitely the last time in our lives. I first called the hospital (since, it was near to our older residence), to immediately send over, an ambulance, for moving my father over to the hospital. They refused and apologized to me, saying, they could be of no help to me, this time, since, they had just one ambulance (ridiculous and that too not theirs) and it was routed to fetch another emergency case, at that moment and I would have to wait, if I still believed I needed their assistance. In that panicked up state, I totally had lost my wits and understanding, to use my brains, and look out for another ambulance, which could have been easily available, if contacted. (Thanks to the hospital, to have not helped me at that moment, with another ambulance contact). Not understanding what to do then, I asked my brother to move my father in our vehicle and somehow managing to do so, finally reached the hospital gate. The hospital has an entrance which is about 3 to 3-1/2 feet in width, good enough to make you break your arms even if you try to ease them a little, so just imagine, you need to carry the patient through that narrow gangway. More horrifying experience was when, we were informed that there were no stretchers and we would have to carry our father up to the 1st floor. For the first time in my life, I realized how it would for any body, craving to see his father comforted and treated first and yet has to see him go through such a lot of agony and pain, at the time you need to see him taking complete rest and medication. Finally we saw ourselves through to the so-called ICCU on the first floor, to our surprise and shock, knowing that the place was named ICCU just for name sake. It was just a modular cabin separated by modular partitions and with just a curtain to offer privacy and sound proofing, and to add to the misery, had no hygiene control cos I could see mosquitoes flying around. Out of curiosity, when I decided to look around, I noticed, that the patients were just fooled in the name of seeing them admitted in the ICCU, or any other special ward, because everything around was just the same. General, Special, ICCU were just for names. ISKI TOPI USKE SAR. Next misery – No Doctor(s). On enquiring, I was informed, I would need to call the doctor on my own (since they have only consulting surgeon(s) and all non-skilled, dressed-up-like doctors, nurses, at your service). That is when; I got to hear the voice of the devil’s, very own, Dr.Amol Manerkar, for the first time. Man, I hope, I could have been seeing a bad dream which could have ended with a bite on my finger. He then told me that he would be on his way and reach in 10 mins, and till then my father, would be attended to, by the junior doctors.

(Continued in next section, since MOUTHSHUT restricts, the use of more than stipulated no. of characters in one Post.)
